We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. First, we want to acknowledge that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We are grateful that you have recognized this truth.
Father God, we join our brother/sister in asking for Your healing touch upon their body. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 17:14, "Heal me, Yahweh, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise." We believe in Your power to restore and make whole, and we ask that You would bring healing to every part of their body that is in need. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, reminding them that You are their healer.
We also lift up their struggle with stress and anxiety. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, we ask that You would replace their stress and anxiety with Your perfect peace. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, we also want to encourage our brother/sister to meditate on Your Word day and night, for it is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Fill their mind with Your truth, which brings freedom (John 8:32). Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, for Your Word tells us that the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your love and presence, comforting them in their time of need. Help them to draw near to You, and You will draw near to them (James 4:8). We pray that they would experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
