We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts heavy for our brother or sister in Christ who is seeking Your healing touch. We lift them up to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for Your divine healing to flow through their body, restoring every cell, every organ, and every system to perfect health. Lord, we know that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise for them today.
Father, we also pray for relief from the stress and anxiety that weighs heavily upon them. In this world, we know there will be trouble, but You have overcome the world (John 16:33). We ask that You calm their mind and heart, replacing fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that they will not be overwhelmed by the cares of this life, but will trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, we also want to encourage our brother or sister to draw near to You in this time of need. Spend time in Your Word, for it is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Let the truth of Your promises sink deep into their heart, reminding them of Your faithfulness and love. Surround them with fellow believers who can uplift and support them in prayer and encouragement.
We pray that they will find rest in You, Lord, for You have said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). May they experience the peace that comes from knowing You are in control, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
