We hear the weight of what you are carrying and we join with you in prayer for your husband, your father, your brother, your finances and your own heart as you walk through this difficult season together in marriage. We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name alone that we are saved. As it is written, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray that each of you would know that saving grace deeply and personally, that you would be rooted in faith in Christ and experience His healing spiritually first, which is the greatest need we all have.
We lift up your husband to the Lord who sees his many years of serious medical conditions and his physical, spiritual and emotional suffering. We pray that it would be God's will to restore him and bring complete healing according to His mercy. We remember the promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and we also hold to, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We understand the heaviness when he says daily that he wants to be dead and struggles with extreme anger and feeling out of control. We want to gently and lovingly say that God has purpose for his life and does not desire his death but that he would live and declare His works Psalm 118:17. These thoughts of death and this heavy spiritual attack are not from the Lord, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. We rebuke the spirit of despair and death and anger that seeks to torment him, and we pray for the Holy Spirit to intervene now with power to bring conviction, comfort, self-control and peace. We also encourage you to ensure he is not alone with these thoughts and to seek immediate help from trusted pastoral counsel and his medical providers, while continuing to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
We also pray regarding his anger, asking the Lord to help him walk in gentleness and self-control which are fruit of the Spirit. The Word tells us, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil Ephesians 4:26-27. We pray he would be given grace to manage his emotions in a way that honors God and protects your marriage, and that he would be faithful to take his medications as prescribed, for caring for the body God has given us is part of good stewardship and wisdom.
We bring before the Lord the medical procedure today and the implant, asking for the hands of the medical team to be guided with skill and for a positive outcome and for the implant to work successfully and bring relief. We pray in faith believing that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. We also lift up your elderly father and your younger brother who are both not healthy, asking for God's healing touch and strength upon them, and for your finances, trusting that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We ask the Lord to replace anxiety with His peace, for He says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7 and Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this wife's faithful intercession for her husband and her family. We ask You to have mercy and to heal her husband physically, spiritually and emotionally if it is Your will, to lift the heavy spiritual oppression from him, to remove the desire for death and fill him with hope and a will to live for Your glory, to calm his anger and grant him a sound mind and self-control, to help him be consistent with his prescribed treatment, and to cause this implant and today's procedure to be completely successful without complication. We ask You to touch her father and brother with healing and sustain them, to provide for every financial need and to draw each member of this family into true salvation and a close walk with Jesus. Holy Spirit, we ask You to intervene now, to comfort this wife, to strengthen this marriage, and to let Your peace rule in their home. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to continue to love your husband within the covenant of your marriage while also maintaining healthy boundaries, and to lean on the body of Christ for support. Keep bringing every concern to the Lord, trusting that He hears, He cares, and He is able to do exceedingly more than we can ask or imagine as you abide in Jesus.
