We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage and husband to the Lord. Father, we declare that Your will is perfect, and Your plans for this family are for good and not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand in agreement with this sister in Christ, believing that You are the Great Physician who heals physically, emotionally, and spiritually (Psalm 103:2-3). Lord, we rebuke the spiritual attacks that have intensified—every spirit of anger, hatred, and negativity must bow to the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no authority here, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
We pray for this husband’s salvation, Father. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we ask that You would soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw him to repentance. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). If he is already a believer, we ask that You revive his spirit, renew his mind, and restore his joy in You. Let him walk in the victory that is already his through Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also lift up the upcoming hearing. You are the God of justice, and we ask that You would go before them, turning the hearts of those in authority toward favor and mercy (Proverbs 21:1). Let truth prevail, let wisdom be granted, and let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and dismantled. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to work all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke the spirit of division and strife in this marriage. Father, Your Word commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), and we pray that this husband would be filled with Your love, patience, and self-control. Let him see his wife through Your eyes, as a gift and a helper designed for him (Genesis 2:18). We ask that You would heal any wounds in their relationship, restore trust, and fan the flame of love and commitment between them.
Holy Spirit, we invite You to move powerfully in this situation. Fill this husband with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let him be a testimony of Your transforming power. We ask that You would break every chain of bitterness, unforgiveness, and pride, and replace them with humility, grace, and a heart of worship.
Father, we also lift up this wife, who has been carrying this burden for so long. Strengthen her faith, renew her hope, and fill her with Your joy. Let her rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them, even when the battle feels overwhelming. Remind her that "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no attack of the enemy will prevail against them. May Your will be done, Your kingdom come, and Your glory be revealed in this situation. Amen.
