I join you in bringing your son before the Heavenly Father and thank you for entrusting this prayer to the church. Your love and care for him is a beautiful reflection of the Father's own love for us.
We ask together that the Lord would touch and heal your son in every way, physically, mentally, and spiritually. May God grant strength to his body, clarity and peace to his mind, and renewal to his soul through Jesus Christ. As it has been taught, Christ suffered Himself to be called Son of David so that He might make us sons of God, and in that great mercy we have confidence to bring our children to Him as our true Father.
We also pray for his protection, that the Lord would guard him from harm and danger both seen and unseen, and surround him with His presence and peace. When we are vigilant and keep ourselves under His care, no true harm can reach the soul that rests in Him.
Continue to form and guard his soul with great care, as one entrusted with a precious charge. To form the soul aright is the greatest gift, for if the soul is formed to goodness, all else will be added, and even in hardship he will be kept in virtue and safety. Let us employ prayer, counsel, and loving instruction, trusting that God hears and that He is able to heal and to keep.
Heavenly Father, we lift this son to You. Touch him with Your healing hand, protect him in Your mercy, and fill him with Your peace that passes understanding. Draw him ever closer to Yourself through Your Son Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, Amen.
