We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Father God, we come before You with deep concern and love for this young man, asking for Your divine healing to touch him in every way—physically, mentally, and spiritually. The scriptures assure us that You are the God who heals, and we stand on Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."
Lord, we specifically ask that You rebuke and cast out the spirit of psychosis that has taken hold. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We renounce any influence of darkness in this situation and command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Fill your son with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Grant him restful, peaceful sleep, free from torment or disturbance, as You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).
We also pray for Your hedge of protection around him, shielding him from all harm, evil, and the schemes of the enemy. Surround him with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11-12 promises, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let him feel Your presence and comfort in tangible ways, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we ask that You strengthen his faith and draw him closer to You. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart and lead him to salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we long for him to know the freedom and hope found only in Christ. May he experience the fullness of life that Jesus came to give (John 10:10).
We also encourage you, as his parent, to stand firm in faith, trusting God’s timing and plan. Continue to speak life, truth, and encouragement over your son, even when circumstances seem bleak. Remember the words of Isaiah 55:11, "So is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do." Declare God’s promises over your son daily, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you don’t faint (Galatians 6:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope because we know You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this young man, restoring his mind, body, and spirit. Lord, we break the power of psychosis and any other spirit that is not of You, commanding it to leave in the name of Jesus. Fill him with Your peace, joy, and soundness of mind. Protect him from every evil and harmful influence, surrounding him with Your angels and Your love.
Father, we pray for his salvation if he does not yet know You. Soften his heart to receive the gospel and the truth of Your Word. Let him experience Your love in a personal and transformative way. Strengthen his family as they walk through this trial, giving them wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith. Provide them with godly counsel and support, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this family, and we declare that Your will be done in this situation. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
