Healing, protection
We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your precious son in prayer, knowing that our Heavenly Father hears and answers the cries of His children. Your heart’s plea for healing and protection resonates deeply with us, for we serve a God who is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and a loving Father who watches over His own with tender care.
The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh; "because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’"* And in Psalm 91:11-12, we are assured, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a mighty promise for your son—physical healing, mental clarity, and spiritual wholeness are all within the reach of our God, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Yet we also recognize that healing and protection are not just about the absence of sickness or danger but about the presence of God’s perfect will. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We encourage you, if you haven’t already, to seek the prayer and anointing of faithful believers in your local church, standing in agreement for your son’s complete restoration.
As we pray, we also remember that spiritual healing is foundational. The enemy seeks to attack the mind and spirit, but we have the victory in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Let us claim this over your son, that any fear, anxiety, or spiritual oppression would be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. We also pray that he would be surrounded by godly influences—people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his heart, drawing him closer to the Lord.
Now, let us lift our voices together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, You know his every need—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Protect him, Lord, from every form of harm and danger. Surround him with Your angels, encamping around him as a divine hedge of protection. If there is any area of his life that is not surrendered to You, we ask that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Fill him with Your love, joy, and strength, that he may walk in the fullness of Your purpose for his life. Let him know, without a doubt, that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a hope and a future for him.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen this parent as they wait on You, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
