We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete restoration in body, mind, and spirit. Your heart as a parent reflects the deep love of our Heavenly Father, who longs to see His children whole and walking in His peace. We stand in agreement with you, claiming the promises of God over your son’s life, for it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We declare this truth over him, trusting that the Lord is faithful to perform what He has spoken.
The spirit of psychosis is not from God, for our Lord is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). We come against this affliction in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding every tormenting spirit to flee, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We plead the blood of Jesus over your son’s mind, asking the Lord to renew his thoughts and fill him with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May he experience the restorative sleep that comes from the Lord, as it is written in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."*
We also cover your son in the protective armor of God, praying that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the Lord surround him with His angels, encamping around him to deliver him from all evil (Psalm 34:7). Let his heart be flooded with the comfort of the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper and Advocate, reminding him that he is never alone and that God’s love for him is steadfast and unchanging (John 14:26, Romans 8:38-39).
Father, we ask that You would give this mother strength and faith as she intercedes for her son. Fill her with Your peace, knowing that You hear her prayers and are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Let her trust in You completely, casting all her anxieties on You, for You care for her and her son (1 Peter 5:7).
We also take this moment to remind you, dear sister, that the name of Jesus is the only name under heaven by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). You have rightly invoked this holy name in your prayer, and we praise God for your faith in Christ. It is through Him alone that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, receiving mercy and finding help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand to heal him completely. Touch his body, Lord, and make him whole. Renew his mind, casting out every spirit that seeks to torment him, and fill him with Your peace. Let Your love surround him like a shield, protecting him from all harm and evil. Grant him restful sleep, free from fear or distress, and let him wake refreshed and renewed in Your strength.
Father, we ask that You would draw him closer to You during this time. If there is any area of his life that is not aligned with Your will, convict him gently by Your Spirit and lead him to repentance. May he seek You with all his heart and find You, for You have promised that when we seek You, we will find You if we search with all our heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
We also lift up this mother, Lord. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace. Let her heart be encouraged, knowing that You are at work, even when she cannot see it. Surround her with Your love and the support of Your people, that she may not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against this family. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that this household belongs to You, Lord, and we ask that You would establish Your peace and righteousness within it.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We trust in You, Lord, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
