Jesus in Our Midst
Christ’s spiritual presence brings peace, unity, and joy to believers who seek Him.
We join you in lifting up your precious son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing his need for healing, protection, and peaceful sleep to us so we can seek God's will together in Jesus' name.

Our hearts are moved by your love for your son and your faith to ask for the Lord's healing hand upon his mind and heart as he battles the nightmares and anxious thoughts of PTSD. We know that our God is a God of compassion who sees his suffering and desires to bring him wholeness and peace. We are comforted to know that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and peace are found, as it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

The Word reminds us that the Lord is our healer and our protector. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We cling to His promise that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. When anxiety and traumatic memories rise up, we can cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, and we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. For sleep, we hold fast to this truth, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8, and The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your blessings and for Your unfailing love for this dear son. We lift him up to You and ask in Jesus' name that You would touch his mind and his heart with Your healing hand. Lord, calm his anxious thoughts, quiet the nightmares, and heal the deep wounds of trauma that PTSD has left. Replace fear and unrest with Your deep and abiding peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil, and danger. Let him feel Your presence beside him through the night and grant him deep, peaceful, and restorative sleep. Father, let him know that he is safe in the shadow of Your wings and that You are his refuge and strength. We pray for continued healing day by day and for Your comfort to uphold him. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cover him in prayer and to speak these promises over him, even when the nights are difficult. Keep reminding him that the Lord is near and that He is faithful to complete the healing He has begun. If he is able, encourage him to share his struggles with a trusted pastor or godly counselor who can walk with him and point him to Christ, while also continuing any needed care for his health. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord who watches over him neither slumbers nor sleeps will grant him rest and renewal.

We were so moved by your love for your son and the way you are covering him in prayer. Watching someone you love wrestle with nightmares and restless nights is heavy, and it is a gift that he has you bringing him to the Father so faithfully.

We know you asked for healing, protection and peaceful sleep for him. Those nights when anxiety and distressing dreams keep returning can affect the whole person, body, mind and spirit, and they often need both prayer and careful care from trusted professionals. If he has a doctor, counselor or pastor he trusts, we gently encourage you to help him stay connected with them and to share honestly how the nightmares and sleeplessness are affecting him, so they can walk with him in the right kind of support. Your steady, calm presence and willingness to listen without pressure can also be a real comfort as he navigates this.

We are praying with you for his rest and peace.

Father, thank You for this mother's love and for her son. We ask in Jesus' name that You would draw near to him tonight, calm his mind and heart, and guard him from harm. Surround him with Your presence and grant him deep, peaceful sleep in Your care. Give his family wisdom and strength as they support him, and lead them to the help he needs. Amen.

We join with you in bringing your son before the throne of grace, and we thank you for your faithful love as a parent who seeks the Lord on his behalf.

You ask for what God alone can give. Sleep is the gift of God. We think we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we sleep, but it is not so. The Lord must give it, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian enjoys, not because the night is free from trouble, but because the soul rests in the keeping of a faithful God. May the Lord grant such sleep to your son, a deep and peaceful rest guarded by His holy angels and shielded from all harm and danger.

You ask also for healing of mind and heart, and for calm in place of anxious thoughts. We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction, and when Jesus healed He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. That same hand which pardons can touch the troubled mind and calm the anxious thoughts which so unfits a man to meet his trial. Anxiety, as we have often seen, brings no comfort and brings no grist to the mill. It only wearies the soul. But to cast our care upon Him who careth for us, this is wisdom and rest.

We will pray that the Lord who is our heavenly Physician will draw near to your son. That He will quiet the memories and terrors that return in the night, that He will lull the disturbed soul to peaceful rest, and that He will surround him with a sense of His presence, so that whether waking or sleeping he may know himself kept in Jesus.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercies which are new every morning. We lift up this dear son to Your throne of grace. Lay Your healing hand upon his mind and heart. Calm his anxious thoughts, remove the terror of nightmares, and give him deep, peaceful sleep as You give to Your beloved. Surround him with Your holy angels, shield him from evil and danger, and let him awake refreshed and restored. Show him more and more of the healing virtue that is in Christ, in whose wounds we find both pardon and peace. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and healer, Amen.

I prayed for your son♡. . . for all these requests, including angels to surround him, shielding him from all evil. I ask in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer for your son and thank God for your faithful love as a parent who brings him before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your request for healing, protection and peaceful sleep is close to the heart of God. Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep, and He does not suffer our foot to be moved when we trust in Him. Night itself is a gift of His mercy, a haven and medicine for our weariness, bound into our nature by His care so that we may find rest even when our souls are burdened with anxiety and grief. While we sleep, He watches. While we are weak, He is steadfast and unmovable on our behalf. The anxious thoughts and nightmares that trouble your son are not hidden from Him, and His power to calm the mind and heal the heart is greater than any fear or memory.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your blessings and for Your unfailing love. We lift up this dear son to You and ask for Your healing hand upon his mind and heart. Touch him where he has been wounded by trauma, calm his anxious thoughts, and comfort him with Your presence. Surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil and danger. Grant him deep and peaceful sleep, free from nightmares, and renew his strength night by night as only You can give. Let him know that Jesus Christ is his refuge and his peace, and that You are near to all who call upon You. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope and shepherd, Amen.

Continue to guard your own heart in prayer and in the Word, and to encourage your son to cast every care upon the Lord, who cares for him. God hears the prayers offered through His Son and He is faithful to keep those who trust in Him, both day and night.
