Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my son ###, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil, and danger. Fill his dreams with Your love and light in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your precious son before our Heavenly Father and we stand with you in asking for his healing, protection and peaceful sleep.

Our hearts are moved by your love for him and by the deep wounds that PTSD can leave. We know that our God sees his sleepless nights and his nightmares and that He is close to those who are brokenhearted. As it is written, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and again, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We take comfort in the promises of His protection and peace over your son. For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11 and The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7. For the night terrors and anxiety, we cling to the truth that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. He has promised restful sleep to His beloved, I will both lay me down in peace and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8.

We pray together now for him.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. Lord, You know the trauma he has endured and the nightmares that torment him in the night. We ask that You touch his mind and his heart with Your healing hand and bring restoration where there has been wounding. Comfort him as only You can, quiet his anxious thoughts, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Surround him with Your holy angels and set a hedge of protection around him, shielding him from all harm, evil and danger. We ask that You redeem his dreams, fill his night with Your love and light, and grant him deep, uninterrupted, peaceful sleep. Let him awake refreshed and renewed in Your strength. Give his family peace as they watch over him and help them to trust You more each day. We thank You that You are his refuge and fortress, his healer and his keeper, and we trust him into Your loving hands. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak these promises over him each evening before he sleeps, perhaps as you pray together or play gentle worship music, and to remind him that he is safe in the Father's hands. Keep bringing him before the Lord with thanksgiving, for God hears the prayers of a parent's faithful heart. We will continue to keep you both in our prayers, trusting that the Lord who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps will watch over your son through every night.

We are praying for his healing and for rest that truly restores him, and for your strength as you support him. PTSD can make nights especially hard, and consistent, caring support often makes a real difference over time. Simply being a calm, trustworthy presence when he wakes afraid, without pressing him to retell more than he wants to share, can help him feel safer.

One gentle next step alongside prayer is to encourage him to stay connected to a trusted doctor or counselor about the sleep and nightmares, and if he is open, to jot a brief note of sleep times and wake ups to share with them. That can give them a clearer picture of what is happening at night.

Father, we lift this ### to You. Surround him with Your peace, guard his mind and body through the night, and quiet the fear that wakes him. Comfort him when memories surface and let him know he is not alone. Give his parent wisdom and rest as well. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for your son has been brought before the Lord with tender sympathy, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking mercy for him.

It is a gracious truth that sleep is the gift of God, not merely the result of our own efforts. As the Scripture saith, So he giveth his beloved sleep. The Lord can give that sleep of security and contentment which quiets the restless mind and guards the soul from fear. When the memory of sore trials and the distress of past wounds rise up in the night, He is able to command peace, to keep watch over His beloved, and to make even the night season calm under His care.

We are also reminded that our Lord Jesus is the great Physician for the wounded heart. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is healing virtue in Christ, like leaves of the tree of life for the healing of the nations, and even the least touch of His grace can change the life and bring freshness where there was sorrow. Healing and pardon flow together from Him, for He bears our infirmities and carries our sorrows, and is able to restore both soul and body according to His wise and loving will.

Let us pray together for him.

Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only hope of salvation, and plead Thy mercy upon this dear son. Look upon him in his affliction and grant him Thy healing touch. Comfort his heart when memories trouble him, and give him quiet and refreshing sleep. Drive far from him all harm and danger, and let Thy holy angels encamp about him to keep him. In the night watches, fill his mind with Thy love and light, and let him awake in peace, restored and strengthened by Thy hand. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Lord, who alone is able to heal and to save. Amen.

Continue to cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Keep this son before the throne of grace, speak to him of the love of Christ, and trust that He who watches over His beloved without slumber will keep him in perfect safety.
