We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, dear one, with heavy hearts for the battles he faces in the quiet of the night. The scars of PTSD are not just in the mind but in the soul, and we stand with you in agreement that the Lord’s healing and peace would flood every broken place. Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We declare that nearness over your son right now—may he feel the weight of God’s presence like a blanket of peace, driving out fear and replacing it with the assurance that he is never alone.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that torments his sleep. Your Word says, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). We command those nightmares to cease in the mighty name of Jesus! Let his mind be guarded by the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Fill his dreams with visions of Your goodness, Your strength, and the promises You have for his life. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
We also pray for physical and emotional healing, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You touch every wound—seen and unseen—with Your restoring power. *"By His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for your son today. Surround him with Your angels for protection, as it is written, *"For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11). Let no harm come near him, and let Your light scatter every shadow of darkness.
And to you, dear parent, we say: Your prayers are not in vain. Even when the nights feel long and the battle seems unending, God hears you. *"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). Keep standing on His promises, keep speaking life over your son, and trust that the same God who parted the Red Sea is fighting for your child.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that Your love is stronger than PTSD, Your peace is greater than fear, and Your healing is more certain than any diagnosis. We declare victory over this trial, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). May Your presence be so tangible to your son that he rests in the shadow of the Almighty, free from torment and full of hope.
We pray this with faith, believing that You are already at work. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
