We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. The pain of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is heavy, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment that seeks to steal his peace. The Word of God declares in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* We claim this promise over your son, believing that the Lord is not only near but actively working to bring restoration to his mind, body, and soul.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch to wash over him like a river of peace. Where trauma has left deep wounds, we pray for the balm of Gilead to soothe and restore. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord."* We hold fast to this truth, declaring that Your healing power is at work in him, even now. We rebuke every spirit of fear, depression, and sleeplessness in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy has no authority to torment him—we command every nightmare, every flashback, and every lie to be silenced by the blood of Jesus and the power of His resurrection.
Lord, we ask that You fill his dreams with Your presence. Let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 describes: *"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May he sleep under the shadow of Your wings, undisturbed by the schemes of the enemy. We pray for divine protection over his mind, that You would station angels around him to guard his rest and his waking moments. Psalm 91:11 assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also encourage you, dear one, to continue speaking life and truth over your son. Remind him of God’s faithfulness and the promises in His Word. Encourage him to meditate on scriptures that build faith and hope, such as Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Surround him with godly community—men who can pray with him, speak truth into his life, and walk alongside him in this journey. Isolation only strengthens the enemy’s grip, but fellowship in Christ brings light and healing.
If your son has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we urge you to pray for his salvation. There is no true healing or peace outside of a relationship with Christ. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw him to repentance and faith, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the fullness of His healing power.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is moving even now to bring breakthrough. Let us pray together:

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious son. It has been our honor to lift him before our Heavenly Father, asking for His healing touch, His protective hand, and the comforting peace that only He can provide. We have prayed specifically that the nightmares caused by PTSD would be replaced with restful sleep, filled with God’s love and light, and that your son would feel the nearness of His presence in a tangible way.
If God has answered these prayers in a way you’ve seen or felt, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path. If, however, the battle continues and you don’t yet see the breakthrough you’re hoping for, please know we are still here to stand with you. We invite you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on your son’s behalf, trusting that our faithful God hears every cry of our hearts.
