We lift up this precious child of God, your son, with hearts full of compassion and faith. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We thank You that through His sacrifice, we have access to Your healing, protection, and peace. Lord, we declare that Your word is true, and we stand on the promise that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that has taken root in his mind and heart, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your divine healing to flow through every part of his body, mind, and soul. Touch him with Your healing hands, Lord, and restore him to full health. We pray against the nightmares that plague his sleep, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Fill his dreams with Your love, light, and peace, replacing every fear with the assurance of Your presence. Let him wake up refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in You.
We also pray for Your hedge of protection to surround him day and night. Shield him from all harm, seen and unseen, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 91:11). Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would draw him closer to You, that he may find comfort and strength in Your word and in Your presence.
Lord, we know that PTSD is a heavy burden, but we also know that You are the burden-bearer. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Surround him with godly counsel, support, and fellowship so that he may be encouraged and uplifted. Remind him daily that he is not alone, for You are with him always (Matthew 28:20).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
May this young man find peace in the knowledge that God is his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Encourage him to spend time in prayer and in Your word, for Your word is a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Remind him that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13). Let him know that his identity is found in You, and that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Stand firm in faith, for the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
