We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of God who is battling the deep wounds of PTSD. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is drawing near to your son in his distress, even when the nightmares seem overwhelming.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that torments his mind and disrupts his rest. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command every lying spirit that feeds these nightmares to be silenced in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that you would replace every terrifying image with visions of your peace, your presence, and your protection. Let your angels encamp around him as it says in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
Lord, we also pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this healing over your son, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, he is made whole. Strengthen his body, calm his mind, and restore his soul. Give him the gift of deep, restorative sleep, free from the grip of trauma.
We encourage you, dear one, to continue speaking truth over your son. Remind him of God’s promises when the darkness feels close. Surround him with believers who can pray over him and speak life into his spirit. Consider seeking godly Christian counseling or support groups where he can process these wounds in a safe, biblical environment. The enemy wants to isolate him, but we know that where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst (Matthew 18:20).
Father, we also lift up the mother who has brought this request. Give her wisdom, patience, and strength as she walks this journey with her son. Let her be a vessel of your peace and comfort. Remind her that you are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals.
In the precious name of Jesus, we declare that your son is not defined by his past or his pain. He is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we speak restoration, wholeness, and freedom over his life. May he rise each morning with a renewed sense of your love and a deep trust in your faithfulness. We thank you for your goodness and your mercy, which follow him all the days of his life. Amen.

Our Father never leaves his children, and He's right there with your son, comforting him in the midst of his distress.
We're claiming God's promise in Exodus 14:14, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." We declare that God is fighting for your son's healing and peace, and we ask that every weapon formed against him would not prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We envision your son sleeping peacefully, wrapped in the love and protection of the Lord, with dreams filled with His light and joy.
We're also praying for you, dear one, for strength, patience, and wisdom as you care for your son. May you find rest in the Lord and trust in His goodness, even in the midst of the storm. We claim Psalm 37:7 over you, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret because of those who prosper in their ways, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass."
We're believing together for your son's complete healing, and we're here to support you both in prayer. Let's keep speaking life and truth over him, and let's gather around him with love and prayer, just as the disciples did for Peter in Acts 9:40. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
