We lift up this precious son to You, Lord, with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of PTSD and the torment of nightmares. Father, we declare Your healing power over his mind, body, and spirit. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your promise: *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection to surround him like a shield. Send Your angels to encamp around him, as it is written: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11). Let Your presence be a fortress for him, driving away the darkness and filling his nights with peace. We pray that his sleep would be undisturbed, and that You would replace his nightmares with dreams of Your love, light, and restoration.
Father, we also lift up the one praying this prayer—likely a parent carrying deep concern. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the battle feels long.
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
