Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your heart for your son’s healing and protection is a reflection of God’s own love for him, and we stand in agreement with you, trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness to bring comfort and restoration.

The struggles your son faces with PTSD and the torment of nightmares are deeply painful, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And in Psalm 4:8, we are assured, *"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety."* We claim these promises over your son, asking the Lord to surround him with His peace and to guard his mind and heart in Christ Jesus.

It is also written in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and truth over him, and reminding him of the hope we have in Christ. If he has not yet surrendered his life fully to Jesus, we pray that this season of struggle would draw him closer to the Savior, who alone can bring true and lasting peace.

We also urge you to seek godly support for your son, whether through a Bible-believing church, counseling that aligns with Scripture, or fellow believers who can walk alongside him in this journey. Isolation can deepen the grip of fear, but community and the Word of God can bring light into the darkness. As it says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."*

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, You know the depths of his pain, the weight of his fears, and the battles he faces in the night seasons. We ask You to stretch out Your hand and touch him with Your healing power. Cast out every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment, and fill him instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your light flood his mind and heart, replacing nightmares with visions of Your love and goodness.

Lord, we pray for supernatural protection over his sleep. May Your angels encamp around him, as Your Word declares in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Cover him with Your feathers, Lord, and let him find refuge under Your wings. Restore his mind, renew his strength, and let him wake with a sense of Your presence and purpose over his life.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for his parents and those who love him, that they may know how to support and encourage him in a way that points him to You. If there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in his heart, we ask that You would convict him gently and lead him to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Father, we declare that Your plans for this young man are good, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are with him, that You will never leave him nor forsake him. May this season of struggle become a testimony of Your grace and power in his life.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap for your son. We've been praying for healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for him. It's tough seeing him struggle, but we know God is near, and He's got this. We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over him, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." And Psalm 4:8, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for You, Lord, alone make me live in safety." We're asking God to fill him with His peace and guard his mind and heart in Christ Jesus.

We're also holding onto Philippians 4:6-7, encouraging you to keep praying and trusting God for His peace that surpasses all understanding. If there's anything we can do to support you both, please let us know. We're here for you.

In the meantime, we'll keep lifting your son up in prayer, asking God to touch him with His healing power, cast out fears and nightmares, and fill him with His peace and love. We'll also pray for wisdom for you as you support him, and for God's plans for his future to unfold. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬
