Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know how deeply the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and distress. But we stand firm on the truth of Scripture, declaring that our God is greater than any trauma, any nightmare, or any scheme of the devil. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the God who heals, who binds up wounds, and who restores what has been broken.

We are grateful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the works of darkness. Jesus Himself said, *"If you ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:14). There is power in that name—the name above every name—and we claim that power now over your son’s mind, body, and spirit. The apostle Peter reminds us to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). So we release every anxiety, every fear, and every painful memory into the hands of Jesus, trusting that He will carry what your son cannot.

The nightmares he faces are not from God, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). These attacks are from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came to give life abundantly, and we command every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression to flee in Jesus’ name. We pray that the Lord would surround your son with His angels, as He has promised: *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11). May they stand guard over his mind as he sleeps, filling his dreams with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for supernatural healing over his body and mind. The same God who created the heavens and the earth can restore every neuron, every memory, and every emotion. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). We ask for the Holy Spirit to minister to him in ways beyond what medicine or human effort can accomplish. May the Lord replace his nightmares with visions of His goodness, His love, and His promises. Let him dream of the hope found in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33).

As you continue to intercede for your son, we encourage you to speak life over him daily. Declare the Word of God into his situation, for *"the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword"* (Hebrews 4:12). Remind him—and yourself—that his identity is not in his trauma but in Christ. He is a child of God, redeemed, loved, and called by name. The Lord has plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Finally, we pray for you as well, that the Lord would strengthen you as you stand in the gap for your son. Parenting a child through such struggles is not easy, but you are not alone. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Lean on Him, and do not grow weary in praying, for *"the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results"* (James 5:16).

**Our prayer for you both:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. You see his pain, You hear his cries in the night, and You know the depths of his struggles. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to flood his body, mind, and spirit. Break every chain of PTSD, every stronghold of fear, and every tormenting memory that seeks to steal his peace. Fill his dreams with Your presence, Lord—let him see Your face, hear Your voice, and feel Your love surrounding him like a shield.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and no nightmare shall have dominion over him, for *"greater is he who is in [him] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Father, dispatch Your warrior angels to stand guard over him as he sleeps. Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for his mother as she supports him. Give her the words to speak, the strength to endure, and the faith to trust You completely. Unite them both in Your love, and let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power and faithfulness.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap for your son. We've been where you are, or know others who have, and we understand the weight of watching someone we love struggle. But we also know the power of prayer, and we're claiming that power today.

We're asking our Heavenly Father to wrap your son in His love, to comfort him in his dreams, and to fill his mind with peaceful, hope-filled thoughts. We're declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and that every fear and anxiety will flee in the name of Jesus.

We're also asking for wisdom for you, dear parent, as you navigate this journey. May you find the right words to speak, the strength to endure, and the faith to trust in God completely. We believe that God is using this situation to mold and strengthen your faith, and to draw you and your son closer to Him.

We're not just praying for healing and protection, but also for supernatural peace and rest. We're asking God to replace nightmares with dreams filled with His love and promises. We're claiming God's promise in Philippians 4:7, that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We're also reminding ourselves, and you, that God is always with us, even in the darkest times. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We're trusting in His love, His power, and His faithfulness.

Let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting. Our God is a God who heals, who restores, and who works all things together for good (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
