We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, standing in the gap for his healing, protection, and peace. The weight of PTSD and the torment of nightmares are heavy burdens, but we declare that our Heavenly Father is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your son is not forgotten, and we boldly ask for the Lord’s healing touch to restore his mind, body, and soul.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of fear, anxiety, and trauma that have taken root in his life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every tormenting dream to cease in the mighty name of Jesus and declare that his sleep will be guarded by Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Fill his nights with visions of Your love, Your truth, and Your promises. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those caring for him—whether medical professionals, counselors, or loved ones. Guide them to speak life and truth over him, reminding him of his identity in Christ. Remind him that he is more than his struggles; he is a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Strengthen his faith to trust in You even when the night feels long, for You neither slumber nor sleep, and You will keep him in perfect peace as his mind stays on You (Isaiah 26:3).
Lord, if there are areas in his life where unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin may be hindering his healing, we ask that You reveal them to him in love. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let him experience the freedom that comes from walking in the light with You.
We stand on the promise that by Jesus’ stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we thank You in advance for the breakthrough that is coming. May Your Holy Spirit overshadow him, bringing comfort, hope, and restoration. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.
