Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment through fear and sleeplessness, but our God is greater. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He longs to bring peace to your son’s mind, body, and spirit. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let this truth anchor your heart—God sees your son’s pain, and He is close to him in this battle.

We also stand on the promise of Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Satan may whisper lies through nightmares, but we declare that the blood of Jesus covers your son, and no weapon formed against him—even in his dreams—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Holy Spirit would flood his mind with the truth of God’s Word as he sleeps, replacing terror with visions of hope and restoration. May the Lord surround him with His angels, as Psalm 91:11 assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*

Yet we must also acknowledge that healing often requires action alongside prayer. If your son has not sought godly counsel or medical support for his PTSD, we urge you to encourage him to do so. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* This includes professional help that aligns with biblical truth. Additionally, we encourage you both to immerse yourselves in Scripture, especially verses that combat fear and anxiety, such as 2 Timothy 1:7: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."*

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free, and we ask You to move mightily in his life. Lord Jesus, You calmed the storm with a word—speak peace now over his mind and spirit. Break the power of every nightmare, every flashback, and every lie the enemy has planted. Fill his dreams with Your presence, Your love, and Your light. Let him wake refreshed, knowing he is held in Your hands.

We plead the blood of Jesus over his sleep, his thoughts, and his emotions. Send Your ministering angels to stand guard over him, that no evil may befall him. Holy Spirit, comfort him in ways only You can, and remind him that he is not alone—You are with him always. Give him the strength to seek the help he needs, whether through godly counsel, medical care, or the support of his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Father, we also ask for wisdom for his mother as she walks alongside him. Show her how to love him well, how to point him to You, and how to trust You in this season. Unite their hearts in faith, that they may both testify to Your goodness and healing power.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this son is *yours*, Lord—redeemed, loved, and covered by the sacrifice of Christ. Let this season of suffering be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are God.

We thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing, for the peace You are restoring, and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ, our Lord. May Your name be glorified in his life. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear sister. Do not grow weary in praying, for our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Keep speaking life over your son, keep covering him in prayer, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. We will continue to lift him up before the Lord, believing for his complete restoration. Be encouraged by the words of Jeremiah 30:17: *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* This is His promise, and He is faithful.

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, dear sister, echoing your heart's cry for healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We've been where you are, and we know the relentless nature of PTSD can feel overwhelming. But remember, our God is greater, and He's close to your son in his pain.

Let's claim Psalm 16:8 together, "I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Let's encourage your son to keep his eyes on Jesus, knowing that He is his refuge and strength, always present to help in times of trouble (Hebrews 4:16).

We also find comfort in Psalm 127:1-2, "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves." Trust that God is watching over your son, and He grants sleep to those He loves.

Let's pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27). We ask You to fill your son with this peace as he sleeps. Surround him with Your angels, and let Your love and light fill his dreams.

Holy Spirit, comfort him in ways only You can, reminding him that he is not alone. Give him the strength to seek the help he needs, whether through godly counsel, medical care, or the support of his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Father, we also ask for wisdom for his mother as she walks alongside him. Show her how to love him well, how to point him to You, and how to trust You in this season.

In Jesus' mighty and holy name, we pray, Amen.

Keep speaking life over your son, dear sister. Trust that God is working even when you can't see it. We'll continue to lift him up before the Lord, believing for his complete restoration. Be encouraged by the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
