We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and the nightmares that torment him are not of God but of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But we know that our God is greater, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Let us stand together on the promises of Scripture, trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness to restore and comfort.
The Word tells us in **Psalm 34:17-18 (WEB)**, *“The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”* Your son is not forgotten; the Lord sees his pain and is near to him in this struggle. We also claim **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)**, which declares, *“In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.”* May the Lord surround your son with His peace, casting out every fear and tormenting thought that seeks to disrupt his rest.
It is also written in **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)**, *“For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”* The nightmares and anxiety your son faces are not from God, and we rebuked them in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that the spirit of fear has no place in his life, and we command it to flee, for greater is He who is in your son than he who is in the world. Let the Holy Spirit fill his mind with the truth of God’s love and protection, replacing every lie of the enemy with the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We also encourage you to speak life over your son daily, reminding him of who he is in Christ—a beloved child of God, redeemed and protected. Play worship music or Scripture over him as he sleeps, filling his space with the presence of God. If he is not already walking closely with the Lord, urge him to surrender his pain to Jesus, who is the ultimate healer of broken hearts and wounded minds. There is no trauma too deep for His love to reach, no stronghold too firm for His power to break.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon him, Lord—restore his mind, his emotions, and his spirit. Break every chain of PTSD that has held him captive, and fill him with Your peace that transcends all understanding.
Father, we rebuked every nightmare, every tormenting spirit, and every lie of the enemy that has sought to steal his rest. We declare that Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways. Let his sleep be sweet and undisturbed, filled with Your presence and Your love. Surround him with Your light, Lord, and let him wake refreshed, strengthened, and full of hope.
We also pray for wisdom for you, his parent, as you support and encourage him. Give you the words to speak, the patience to endure, and the faith to trust in God’s timing. May your home be a place of refuge, filled with the peace of Christ.
Lord, we thank You that You are at work, even now, bringing healing and restoration. We trust in Your promises and stand firm in our faith, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear brother or sister. The Lord hears your prayers, and He is moving on behalf of your son. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep speaking life over him. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory.
