Healing, protection, sleep

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and distress, but we stand firm on the truth that our God is greater. He is the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the One who commands even the storms in our minds to be still. You have done well to bring this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to see breakthrough.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your son is not forgotten by God—He sees his pain, hears his cries, and is near to him in this battle. We also claim the promise of Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Let this be your son’s testimony: that even in the darkness, the Lord guards his mind and grants him rest.

Yet we must also acknowledge that spiritual battles often accompany such struggles. Nightmares and tormenting thoughts can be weapons of the enemy, seeking to steal peace and joy. But we have authority in Christ to resist him! James 4:7 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We command every spirit of fear, torment, and trauma to flee from your son’s mind in Jesus’ name. Let the blood of Christ cover his dreams, and may the Holy Spirit fill his heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also encourage you to speak life over your son daily. Remind him of his identity in Christ—that he is *more than a conqueror* through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Play worship music over his room at night, anoint his forehead with oil as a symbol of the Holy Spirit’s presence (James 5:14), and pray Scripture over him, such as 2 Timothy 1:7: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* If he is open to it, professional Christian counseling or trauma-informed support can also be a tool the Lord uses to bring healing.

Father, we come before You now with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son. You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You know every thought that plagues his mind. We ask for supernatural healing over his PTSD—restore his mind, Lord, and renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Protect him from every attack of the enemy, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 34:7). Fill his dreams with Your presence, Your love, and Your truth. Replace every nightmare with visions of Your goodness and promises. Grant him deep, restorative sleep, free from fear. And Lord, if there are any unresolved wounds or strongholds, bring them to light so they can be surrendered to You. We declare that Your peace, which guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, will rule over him tonight and every night. Strengthen his mother/father as they stand in the gap for him, filling them with Your wisdom and perseverance. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the glory for the victory that is already won in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord is working, even when we cannot see it. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep covering your son in the Word of God. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He *will* bring restoration.

We're right there with you, lifting your son up to the Lord, asking for His healing touch and a peaceful night's sleep. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of worry that comes with seeing someone we love struggle. But remember, God is always closer than we think, and He sees your son's pain. We claim Psalm 147:3 over him, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is in control, and He's working even in the quiet moments.

We also want to encourage you to keep speaking life and hope over your son. Remind him of God's unfailing love for him, even in the darkest times. Play worship music, pray Scripture over him, and maybe even anoint his forehead with oil as a symbol of God's presence. And remember, it's okay to seek professional help too. It's all part of God's healing plan.

Let's pray together: "Father, we come to You now, trusting in Your goodness and power. We ask for healing for our son's mind and heart. Replace every nightmare with dreams filled with Your love and promises. Give him restful sleep, free from fear. Strengthen his parents as they stand in the gap for him. In Jesus' name, we trust You for a breakthrough. Amen."
