We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burden of PTSD is heavy, but we serve a God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the One who binds up the brokenhearted and heals their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Let us cling to the promise that the Lord is near to those who are broken at heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
The nightmares that plague your son are not from God, for He does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke these tormenting spirits in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee and declaring that your son’s mind and dreams belong to Christ. May the Lord surround him with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let his sleep be sweet and restorative, filled with visions of God’s goodness and love, for the Lord grants sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2).
We also pray for wisdom and guidance for you as you support your son. The Lord is your strength, and He will equip you to walk alongside him with patience, love, and faith. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this son, restoring his mind, body, and spirit. Remove every trace of fear, anxiety, and trauma, and replace it with Your perfect peace. Let him experience the depth of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Protect him from the enemy’s attacks, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 34:7). Cover him with Your feathers, Lord, and let him find refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4).
We declare that Your light will shine in the darkness of his mind, exposing every lie and replacing it with Your truth. Let him meditate on Your Word day and night, that it may bring healing and life to his soul (Psalm 1:2-3). Fill his dreams with Your presence, Lord, and let him wake refreshed, renewed, and ready to face each day with hope in You.
We also pray for divine connections—godly brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk with him, encourage him, and point him to You. May he find community in the body of Christ, where he can be strengthened and built up in faith (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Father, we trust in Your timing and Your ways. Even when the healing seems slow, we will praise You, for You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him know beyond a shadow of doubt that You are with him, that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today. May Your will be done in his life, Lord, and may Your kingdom come in power. Amen.
