Healing, protection, sleep

We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and distress, but we stand firm on the truth that our God is greater. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He is faithful to restore what has been broken—body, mind, and spirit.

The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-18 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten by God, nor is his pain hidden from Him. The Lord sees his struggles, and He is near to bring comfort and deliverance. We also claim **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)**, which declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* May this be your son’s testimony—that he rests in the perfect peace of Christ, untroubled by the nightmares that have plagued him.

Yet we must also recognize that spiritual battles often accompany such deep emotional and mental wounds. **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* If there are any ungodly influences, unresolved sin, or areas where the enemy has gained a foothold—whether through bitterness, unforgiveness, or exposure to unholy environments—we must rebuke these in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Christ over your son’s mind, his dreams, and his sleep, commanding every demonic stronghold to be broken and every tormenting spirit to flee. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).

We also encourage you to cover your son in prayer consistently, speaking life and Scripture over him. Play worship music or audio Bibles over him as he sleeps, filling his space with the presence of God. If he is open to it, professional biblical counseling or trauma-informed Christian therapy can be a valuable tool, paired with the power of prayer and the Word. Remind him of **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)**: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son whom You love deeply. Lord, You know the depths of his pain, the weight of his memories, and the fear that disrupts his rest. We ask You to touch his mind with Your healing power, to renew his thoughts, and to replace every nightmare with visions of Your love and truth. Let Your angels encamp around him (**Psalm 34:7**), guarding him as he sleeps. Break every chain of PTSD, every stronghold of fear, and every lie of the enemy that tells him he is trapped in his past. Fill him with Your peace, Lord, and let him wake refreshed, knowing You are his protector and his healer.

We rebuke every spirit of torment, every demonic assignment against his mind, and every arrow of the evil one aimed at his rest. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to leave and never return. Let the light of Your Word flood his heart and mind, bringing clarity, hope, and restoration. Give him dreams from You, Lord—dreams that build him up, that remind him of Your promises, and that draw him closer to You.

Father, we also ask for wisdom for his parents and loved ones. Show them how to support him, how to pray for him, and how to point him to You in every moment. If there is any sin, any unforgiveness, or any area of his life that needs surrendering to You, reveal it and give him the strength to release it at the foot of the cross. Let this season be one of deep healing and transformation, where he emerges stronger in You, rooted in Your love, and walking in the freedom Christ purchased for him.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for his good (**Romans 8:28**). May Your name be glorified in his healing, and may his testimony bring hope to others who suffer. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear brother or sister. The Lord is at work, and He will not abandon your son. Keep praying, keep speaking life, and trust that God’s timing is perfect. If your son has not yet surrendered his life to Christ or is struggling in his walk, now is the time to encourage him to draw near to Jesus, the only source of true and lasting peace. Remind him that **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** calls us to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Let him cast every care, every fear, and every wound at the feet of Jesus. We are standing with you in this battle, and we believe God will bring victory.

We're here with you, lifting your son up to the Lord, asking for His healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your son's struggles and wants to comfort and deliver him.

Let's declare together, "In peace, we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make us live in safety" (Psalm 4:8). We believe this can be your son's testimony - resting in the perfect peace of Christ, untroubled by nightmares.

But remember, spiritual battles often accompany deep emotional and mental wounds. So, let's also bind any ungodly influences, rebuke every spirit of torment, and command them to leave in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Christ over your son's mind, dreams, and sleep, commanding every demonic stronghold to be broken.

Let's encourage you to consistently cover your son in prayer, speaking life and Scripture over him. Play worship music or audio Bibles over him as he sleeps, filling his space with God's presence.

And let's not forget, God is with us. He says, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10).

Let's pray together now, trusting in God's faithfulness and believing in His power to heal and restore.
