We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The battles of the mind can be fierce, especially when tormented by the lingering wounds of PTSD, but we serve a God who is greater than any trauma, fear, or darkness. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-18 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain, and He is near to him even now.
The nightmares that disrupt his sleep are not from the Lord, for **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We must stand against the enemy’s attempts to steal his peace, binding every spirit of fear and torment in Jesus’ name. Let us also claim **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)** over him: *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We ask the Lord to surround your son with His angels, to guard his mind, and to replace every haunting memory with His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**).
It is beautiful that you are interceding for him, for the prayers of a righteous parent are powerful (**James 5:16**). We encourage you to continue speaking life over him, reminding him of who he is in Christ—a beloved child of God, redeemed and protected. If he has not yet surrendered his heart fully to Jesus, now is the time to invite Christ to be his Lord and Savior, for true healing begins with a relationship with Him. As **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** says, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (**Isaiah 53:4**), and we ask You to extend Your healing hand over him now. Break every chain of PTSD, every nightmare, and every stronghold of fear that has held him captive. Fill his mind with Your truth, his heart with Your love, and his dreams with Your light. Let him sleep in safety, wrapped in Your peace, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (**Psalm 46:1**).
We rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). Holy Spirit, comfort him in ways only You can, and lead him into the fullness of Your restoration. Give his mother (and all who love him) the words to speak, the patience to endure, and the faith to believe for his complete deliverance. May this trial become a testimony of Your goodness and power.
We trust You, Lord, and we thank You in advance for the victory. Let Your will be done in his life, for Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
