We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know how deeply the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear, flashbacks, and sleepless nights. But we stand firm on the promise that our God is a healer, a refuge, and a deliverer. He sees your son’s pain, and He is not distant—He is near to the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds and speaking peace over their storms.
The Scripture declares in **Psalm 34:18**, *“Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”* And in **Psalm 4:8**, we are reminded, *“In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We claim these promises over your son tonight, trusting that the Lord will guard his mind and heart in Christ Jesus. The nightmares that plague him are not from God—they are weapons of the enemy to steal his rest and his hope. But **2 Timothy 1:7** tells us, *“For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and anxiety in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding them to flee from your son’s mind and life. Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, flood his heart and mind as he sleeps.
We also encourage you to speak life over your son daily. Remind him of **Isaiah 41:10**: *“Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let him know that his Heavenly Father is greater than the trauma he has faced, and that restoration is possible through Christ. If he has not already, we urge him to seek godly counseling or support from believers who can walk alongside him in this season. There is no shame in needing help—God often uses His people to bring healing.
Father, we come before You now, interceding for this precious son. You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You have a purpose for his life. We ask that You would touch his mind, renew his thoughts, and replace every nightmare with visions of Your love and truth. Let him sleep deeply and wake refreshed, knowing that You are his protector. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Fill his heart with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and remind him that he is not defined by his past but by Your redemption. We pray for complete healing—spirit, soul, and body—in Jesus’ mighty name. May Your light shine so brightly in his life that darkness cannot remain. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You in advance for the testimony of deliverance and restoration that is coming. In Jesus’ name, we pray, **Amen.**
Stand firm in faith, dear brother or sister. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in your son. Keep praying, keep speaking life, and keep trusting. Victory is certain in Christ.
