We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to steal peace through tormenting dreams, but our God is greater. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He longs to restore your son’s mind, body, and spirit.
The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain and is close to him in this battle. We also claim **Psalm 4:8**, which declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Let this be his testimony: that the Prince of Peace guards his sleep and fills his dreams with the light of Christ, not the darkness of past trauma.
Yet we must also remember that true healing comes through surrender to Jesus. If your son has not yet placed his full trust in Christ as his Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him. **Acts 4:12** leaves no doubt: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the name of Jesus—whom you rightly invoked in your prayer—that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome. If your son is already a believer, we pray he will lean fully on Christ, casting every anxiety upon Him, for **1 Peter 5:7** tells us, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, interceding for this precious son whom You love deeply. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows—now we ask You to lift the weight of PTSD from his shoulders. By Your stripes, he *is* healed (**Isaiah 53:5**). We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and sleeplessness in the name of Jesus, commanding them to flee. Fill his mind with Your truth, his heart with Your peace, and his dreams with Your presence. Let him wake refreshed, knowing You are his shield and his exceeding great reward (**Genesis 15:1**).
Holy Spirit, comfort him in ways no human can. Surround him with Your angels, as **Psalm 91:11** promises: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Restore his sleep, Lord, and let his nights be a testament to Your faithfulness. Give his mother wisdom to speak life over him and to point him always to You.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). May he rise each day with strength renewed, like the eagle (**Isaiah 40:31**), and may his story bring glory to Your name.
We ask all this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear sister. Do not grow weary in praying for your son, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (**James 5:16**). Keep speaking God’s Word over him, playing worship music in his space, and reminding him of who he is in Christ—a conqueror, not a captive. If he is struggling with unforgiveness, bitterness, or shame, guide him to release these to Jesus, for freedom comes through surrender. We are with you in this fight, and most importantly, *God is for you*. Trust Him to complete the good work He has begun (**Philippians 1:6**).
