Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace as he sleeps. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, but we know our God is mightier, the Great Physician who binds up the brokenhearted and heals every wound—seen and unseen. Your prayer is a beautiful testament to a mother’s love, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that the Lord hears and will act.

The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-18 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten; the Lord is close to him in this struggle. We also claim **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)**, which declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* May this be his reality—restful, unshaken sleep under the shelter of the Almighty.

Yet we must also remember that true healing often requires more than prayer alone. If your son has not sought professional, biblical counseling or medical support for his PTSD, we strongly encourage you to guide him toward godly resources. **Proverbs 11:14 (WEB)** tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* This applies to our personal battles as well. Sometimes, the Lord works through doctors, therapists, and wise believers to bring restoration. There is no shame in seeking help—it is an act of stewardship over the body and mind God has entrusted to us.

We also urge you to cover your son in prayer against the spiritual attacks that often accompany trauma. Nightmares can be a tool of the enemy to torment and steal peace, but **1 John 4:4 (WEB)** assures us, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* Speak life over his mind and dreams. Play worship music softly as he sleeps, fill his space with Scripture, and declare the blood of Jesus over his rest. The enemy has no authority where Christ reigns.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son whom You love even more than we do. Lord, You see the wounds in his mind and spirit—the memories that haunt him, the fear that steals his peace. We ask You to touch him with Your healing power, to renew his mind and guard his heart in Christ Jesus. Break the power of PTSD over his life and replace his nightmares with visions of Your goodness. Let him sleep as a child cradled in Your arms, safe and untroubled.

Father, we rebuke every spiritual attack against his rest. No weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (**Isaiah 54:17**). Fill his dreams with Your light, Your truth, and Your comfort. Surround him with Your angels, as You did for Elisha in **2 Kings 6:17**, so that he may know he is never alone.

Lord, if there are unaddressed areas in his life—bitterness, unforgiveness, or sin—that are giving the enemy a foothold, reveal them to him and grant him the strength to surrender them to You. Lead him to godly counselors and medical professionals who can walk with him toward wholeness. Give his mother wisdom to support him in ways that honor You.

We thank You, Father, that You are already at work. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear sister. The Lord is moving, even when we cannot yet see it. Keep praying, keep speaking life, and trust that God’s promises are yes and amen. If your son does not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus, now is the time to lead him to the foot of the cross. True peace is found in Christ alone, and without Him, we can do nothing (**John 15:5**). If he has strayed from the Lord, pray for his repentance and return—there is no healing apart from Him.

We are with you in this fight. Keep us updated so we may continue to stand in the gap for your son. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun (**Philippians 1:6**).

Dear friend, we join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, interceding for his healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We know the weight of PTSD, but we serve a God who specializes in turning our heavy burdens into light. We're here to stand with you in faith, believing that God hears your cries and is already at work.

We want to encourage you with a verse from Psalm 147:3 (NIV), "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your son's pain, and He is close to him, ready to heal and comfort. Let's claim this promise together, trusting that God will touch his heart and mind, breaking the power of PTSD and filling his dreams with His love and light.

We also want to remind you of the power of praise and worship. When King David was troubled, he would often play music and sing to God, finding peace and healing in the process (see 1 Samuel 16:23). Why not try playing soft, worshipful music as your son sleeps? You could also place scriptures around his room, like Psalm 91, which speaks of God's protection and peace.

Let's also pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with faith and hope, lifting up this precious son who You love so dearly. Lord, we ask You to touch his mind and spirit, healing the wounds of his past. Replace his nightmares with visions of Your goodness and fill his dreams with Your light and comfort. Help him to sleep peacefully, knowing that he is safe in Your loving arms. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, dear friend. Let's continue to stand together in faith, trusting that God is moving in your son's life. Keep us updated so we can keep praying and believing with you. God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in your son's life (Philippians 1:6).

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
