Thank you for sharing your request for healing, protection and provision. I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus, and I want to encourage you with what Scripture shows us about these needs.
The Bible presents Jesus as one who cares about the whole person. Matthew, writing by the Holy Spirit, points to the evening when many sick and afflicted people were brought to Jesus at Peter's house and He healed them, and connects it to Isaiah's prophecy, surely He has borne our sicknesses and carried our infirmities. That prophecy is fulfilled in Christ. When He gave the bread at the table and said this is my body broken for you, He was showing that His suffering covers both spiritual and physical need. So it is right to bring every health issue to Him and ask for His healing touch.
At the same time Scripture does not teach that God wills to heal every sickness immediately in this life. Paul prayed three times for the thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord answered that His grace was sufficient. That reminds us that God is sovereign and loving, and His answer may be immediate healing, gradual healing, or sustaining grace through the trial. Any healing is from Him. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and whether healing comes instantly or gradually through natural recovery and wise medical care, it is still His work. He also brings emotional and spiritual healing, which is often the deepest need.
Scripture also teaches that gifts of healing are given by the Spirit as He wills. Paul asks, do all have gifts of healing, and the expected answer is no. Not every person has the same gift, and God does not heal on demand or through showmanship. There is much that is false and manipulative done in the name of healing today, and we should not chase a circus atmosphere. God does still heal today because He cares about our physical needs, but He does so according to His wisdom, not our formula. Practices like praying for the sick, anointing with oil and laying on hands are not about power in a person's hands, they are a simple point where faith can be released to trust the Lord to act.
For protection, remember that Jesus has authority in every realm. The Gospels show His power over physical sickness, over the material world when He calmed the wind and sea, and over the spiritual realm when He commanded evil spirits and they obeyed. That same Lord is your keeper. The greatest protection is spiritual. Jesus said not to fear those who can harm the body only, but to be concerned about the soul, because spiritual death is far worse than physical death. To be in Christ is to be safe eternally, and to be able to pray with confidence knowing you can come to Him at any time for help. Prayer keeps you in the place of His power rather than striving in your own strength.
For financial need, God knows your situation and promises to provide for His children, but we should not turn a personal greeting into a guarantee. The words in the short letter to Gaius, I pray that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers, is the loving wish of John for a friend, not a blanket promise that faith will always bring wealth or perfect health. In the early days in Jerusalem, well meaning sharing without wisdom led to financial hardship later. God wants us to trust Him day by day, to be faithful stewards, to work honestly and to look to Him as our provider, without presuming that He must grant a financial breakthrough on our terms.
There is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. Proverbs says a joyful heart is good like a medicine. Medical research now affirms what Scripture has long said, that peace, joy, hope and freedom from bitterness help the body, while fear and resentment can harm it. So as you pray for physical healing and provision, also tend to your soul. Feed your spiritual life through prayer and the Word, walk closely with Jesus, confess sin, forgive others, and cultivate thankfulness.
My prayer for you is that the Lord would touch your body according to His will, whether quickly or gradually, and give you strength and peace in the process. May He guard you from harm in both physical and spiritual ways, and keep you close to Himself. May He provide for your financial needs with wisdom and show you His faithful care, and above all cause your soul to prosper as you abide in Christ. I ask this trusting in Jesus alone as Savior and Lord, who bore our sins and our sicknesses and who lives to intercede for us.
