We are grateful you shared your request and we are praying with you for healing, for protection, and for the Lord's provision in your finances.
We believe God is still able to heal today. The Gospels show Jesus healing a man with leprosy, the servant of a centurion, Peter's mother in law, and crowds who came in the evening with sicknesses and spiritual oppression. Matthew connects that ministry to what Isaiah wrote, that He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. That same Jesus has authority in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm, and He is able to touch the body as well as the soul. At times His healing was immediate with a word or a touch, at other times it was gradual, and at other times healing comes through the natural processes He has built into our bodies. Those processes are no less from Him, for He created them. We pray for His healing touch for you, whether it comes instantly or step by step.
It is good to understand one verse that is often misunderstood. When John wrote to Gaius that he wished he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers, it was a loving personal greeting, much as we might say we hope a letter finds someone well. It is not to be taken as a blanket guarantee that every believer will always be healthy and prosperous, though it does show God's care for the whole person. Scripture and experience both show there is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, and even our attitudes and thoughts can affect our physical condition. God is interested in your health in practical ways as well. His care includes how we steward our bodies with what we eat and drink and with cleanliness and wise habits, which help prevent disease and strengthen us.
There is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not know why some are healed quickly and others are not, and it is wrong to tell someone they are not healed because they lack faith or have hidden sin. That is like the error of Job's comforters. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove his thorn in the flesh, and the answer was not removal but sustaining grace and strength in weakness. We should not presume that God must heal in every case exactly as we ask, but we can come confidently asking, trusting His wisdom and love to do what is best.
We are also praying for your protection. The same Lord who calmed wind and sea and who commanded evil spirits and they obeyed still watches over His people. We ask Him to guard you in body and spirit and to keep you under His care.
For your financial need, we pray that God will provide for you and give you wisdom in every decision. Scripture shows believers who were very poor yet knew joy and generosity, and it shows the early church in Jerusalem facing deep financial hardship and learning to depend on the Lord and on the kindness of others. God sees your situation and He is faithful to supply what you need. We pray not only for open doors for provision, but for contentment, clear guidance, and a heart that continues to trust Him whether the answer comes quickly or over time.
So we pray now, Father in Jesus name, lay Your hand upon this dear one who is asking for healing. Touch every health issue according to Your mercy and will, bring strength to body and peace to mind and soul. Surround this life with Your protection from harm and from the power of the enemy. Provide for every financial need, open the right doors for work and help, grant wisdom to steward what You give, and fill the heart with trust in Your goodness. Above all, cause the soul to prosper in knowing Jesus, walking close to Him, and resting in His grace. Amen.
