Healing, protection, financial breakthrough

When you ask for healing, recall how our Lord dealt with Peter's mother-in-law: He touched her, and not only did the fever leave, but she was restored to full strength at once. No lingering weakness remained. This is the completeness of His power. Do not, then, measure His ability by your present symptoms. The health He gives is of the whole person, body and soul. Yet often we hinder that health by clinging to what makes us sick. Examine your life: is there envy, strife, or any carnal division that dulls your hearing of His word? Such things make the soul sluggish and can even affect the body. Seek first the healing of the inner man, and the outer will follow according to His will.

As for protection, understand that to stand in heaven while yet on earth is the disposition of one who abides in Christ. No outward circumstance can separate you from His care when your heart is set there. But do not suppose that protection means an absence of affliction. Paul himself suffered repeatedly, yet was kept for his apostolic work. The Lord permitted trials to sharpen his diligence. If you would be protected, do not walk carelessly. Use whatever ability He has given you, whether in word or deed, for the common good of the body of Christ. A life poured out for others is a life guarded by God.

Now, about a financial breakthrough: I must speak plainly. Corinth was a city drunk on wealth, and that very wealth became a snare, leading to divisions and pride. The love of money is a sickness more dangerous than any fever. You ask God to bless you with more, but I ask you: what would you do with it? Would it make you rich toward heaven or only more entangled in earthly cares? Many think that a brief season of prayer or a forty-day show of devotion should compel God to open His hand, as if He could be bribed. But He looks on the heart. If you are faithful with one talent, He may entrust you with more, but only so that you may serve the needy and build up His church. If you seek a breakthrough merely for your own ease, you are asking amiss. Rather, be diligent in whatever work you have, share what you possess, and trust the Lord, who knows your needs. The widow with her two mites gave more than all the rich, because she gave her whole living.

Do not grow dull through repeated affliction or the weight of waiting. Epaphroditus was sick almost to death, yet Paul sent him back to the Philippians with all speed, so that their joy might be full at seeing him well. Your persistence in seeking God is not wasted. Even if you feel insensible after many prayers, the root may be strengthening, and at a single blow later on, the whole tree of your former hardness may fall. Only do not return to the food that caused the sickness; that is, do not go back to the sins you have renounced. Stand firm, seek first the kingdom, and every needful thing shall be added unto you, in the measure that profits your soul.

Your prayer for healing, protection, and financial breakthrough is heard, and it is good to bring all of these needs before the Lord, who cares about every part of our lives.

When we think of healing, it is clear that our physical well-being matters to God. Jesus went about healing every sickness and every disease, and Matthew specifically ties this to the prophecy in Isaiah, that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That is a solid foundation for praying for healing today. Yet we must also hold this truth with humility, because not everyone in Scripture was healed in the same way. Paul prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the answer was not the removal he sought, but sufficient grace. It is wrong to assume that a lack of healing always points to some hidden sin or a failure of faith. Like Job’s friends, that kind of thinking can wound rather than help. Healing is real, and it can come in many forms, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes through the natural processes God designed within our bodies, and sometimes as a healing of the mind or the emotions. Even when the physical change is not what we hoped for, God can be doing a deep work of restoration in our hearts.

There is also a genuine connection between the health of our soul and our physical body. John’s wish for Gaius to prosper and be in health even as his soul prospered reflects a truth we are only beginning to understand fully. Our attitudes, our stress, and our inner peace can directly affect our bodily health. So while we pray for your body, we also pray that your soul would prosper, that you would be filled with the joy and peace that come from trusting Christ, regardless of the outward circumstances.

Regarding your finances, remember the Macedonian churches who were going through severe trials and deep poverty, yet their abundant joy overflowed in generous giving. Financial struggle is a heavy burden, but God is able to provide in unexpected ways and to sustain you even when resources are scarce. We pray for a breakthrough, but we also pray for the abundance of joy that allows you to remain liberal in love and trust even during times of want. And we must always be wise, avoiding the kind of circus atmosphere or manipulative appeals that treat faith like a transaction, as if God were obligated to send a check in the mail because of a certain prayer. His provision often comes through quiet faithfulness and the practical wisdom He gives.

We also lift up your need for protection. Just as God gave ancient Israel health codes to spare them from the diseases around them, His wisdom still guides us today in how we care for our bodies, through what we eat, through cleanliness, and through habits that promote life. Protection is not only from outward danger, but also from the erosion that comes through neglecting the temple of the Holy Spirit.

May the Lord Jesus, who calmed the sea and commanded evil spirits, grant you peace in every storm and shelter under the shadow of His wings.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to lift up your requests for healing from all health issues, divine protection, and a financial breakthrough before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed with faith, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.

If you have seen God move in any of these areas—whether in healing, protection, or provision—we would love to hear your praise report. Sharing how God has worked in your life encourages all of us and brings glory to His name. If, however, your circumstances remain unchanged, please know that we are still here to stand with you. We invite you to post your request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Him as you seek His face through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind, and that His strength will sustain you in every area of need. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
