We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for healing, protection, and financial provision. First and foremost, we rejoice that this request is made in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father, and we are so grateful that you have placed your trust in Christ for your needs.
Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of our brother or sister in Christ who is facing health struggles. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now. We ask You to touch every part of their body that is afflicted, bring restoration, strength, and wholeness. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal. If there are areas where medical intervention is needed, we pray for wisdom for doctors and nurses, and for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in Jesus’ name, for You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also stand in the gap for divine protection. Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12, that no harm will befall them and no plague will come near their dwelling. Protect them from accidents, evil schemes, and any form of spiritual or physical attack. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take authority over every plan of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy in their life. Lord, be their refuge and fortress, their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Regarding the financial breakthrough, we come before You with humility, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that they cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and give them wisdom to steward what You entrust to them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in Jesus’ name, and we declare that You are their Provider (Jehovah Jireh). If there are areas where they need to adjust their spending, seek godly counsel, or step out in faith, we pray for clarity and courage to follow Your leading. We also ask that You reveal any doors of opportunity, whether through employment, entrepreneurship, or divine connections, that You have prepared for them. Help them to work diligently, as unto You, and to trust in Your timing (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we also want to gently encourage our brother or sister to examine their heart and life in light of Your Word. Are there any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin might be hindering their breakthrough? Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that they would walk in the light as You are in the light, so that the blood of Jesus may cleanse them from all sin. Additionally, are they tithing and giving with a cheerful heart? You promise that those who sow generously will also reap generously (2 Corinthians 9:6-7), and we encourage them to test You in this, as You invite us to do in Malachi 3:10.
Lord, we also lift up their spiritual walk. Are they spending time in Your Word and in prayer? Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and it is through prayer that we align our hearts with Your will. We pray that they would draw near to You, and that You would draw near to them (James 4:8). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your promises, even when circumstances seem impossible. Remind them that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that they ask or think, according to the power that works in them (Ephesians 3:20).
We also want to encourage them to seek godly community. Are they connected to a local body of believers where they can be encouraged, held accountable, and supported in prayer? Your Word tells us not to forsake assembling together, but to encourage one another all the more as we see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). If they are not already part of a church family, we pray that You would lead them to one where they can grow in their faith and be surrounded by brothers and sisters who will stand with them in prayer and support.
Father, we thank You for the privilege of standing in the gap for our brother or sister. We declare that this is not a time for despair, but a time for miracles. We speak life, healing, protection, and provision over their situation, and we trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.
