God’s Cure for Man’s Weakness
The Silken Fetter
A Wedding Present
We join you in thanksgiving for the healing and restoration the Lord has provided and we rejoice with you in Jesus' name. We give thanks with you for His mercy and His power to restore, for He is the Lord who heals us.

We are reminded of His promises to His people, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We cling also to the truth that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and that by whose wounds you were healed 1 Peter 2:24.

We pray together with you now. Father in heaven, we thank You together for Your healing hand and for the restoration You have already begun. We praise You for You are Yahweh who heals us Exodus 15:26 and we thank You that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. We ask You to complete the work You have started, to strengthen every part of body, mind and spirit, to restore fully what has been weakened or broken, and to guard this healing by Your grace. Let Your peace rest upon this life and let this testimony bring glory to You and encouragement to others. We ask that You continue to draw this heart closer to You daily in faith and obedience and in trust in Your perfect will. We thank You and we pray all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in faith, to give thanks in all things and to testify of His goodness, trusting Him for ongoing strength and wholeness as you abide in Him.

Thank you for inviting us to pray with you for healing and restoration. We are grateful for your simple trust in Jesus and your hope that He is the one who restores.

We know the road toward healing can feel long and sometimes lonely, and we want you to know we are standing with you. We hear both your thankfulness and your continued asking, and that faith encourages us. We will keep holding you before the Lord, asking for His nearness and peace to meet you each day as you look to Him.

As you wait on the Lord, it helps to stay closely connected to those caring for you. If you are under a doctor's care or in a season of recovery, we encourage you to keep your appointments and let your care team know how you are doing, alongside prayer. It also helps to let a trusted friend, family member or pastor walk with you so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we thank You for Your care for our friend and for the work You are already doing. We ask for Your healing and restoring touch in body, mind and spirit according to Your will. Give wisdom to those providing care, grant strength and rest for each day, and fill their heart with Your peace as they rest in You. We trust You with what is ahead and we ask this in Jesus name, amen.

We join with you in giving thanks unto the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. It is right and comely that prayer should be perfumed with praise, and that with every supplication we should mingle thanksgiving and so make known our requests unto God.

We bless the Good Physician whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in His great work but in the least thing about Him, and that healing touches both soul and body. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction by our gracious Lord, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people it is with healing in His wings.

We pray that the Lord will perfect that restoration which you have begun to taste and make it complete in His own time and way. May He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds lay His hand upon you and keep you, and may His mercy turn all heaviness into the garment of praise. We ask that you may be kept in humble dependence upon Him, praising Him with your lips and with your life, declaring His works with rejoicing and sacrificing the sacrifices of thanksgiving in the congregation of His people.

May the Lord open your lips that your mouth may show forth His praise, and may you find that to be wrapped in praise to God is the highest state of the soul. We commend you to His sovereign mercy, trusting that before long you shall have yet more cause to praise and magnify His name for His great mercy toward you in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
