We join you in lifting up your beloved family member to the Lord, trusting in His power to heal and restore. In the World English Bible (WEB), we are reminded of God's promise in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible."
Firstly, we commend your faith and patience. It is wonderful that you are consistently praying and putting your trust in the Lord. As it says in James 5:15, "The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."
However, we want to remind you that while faith is crucial, it is also important to act in accordance with God's will. In 1 John 5:14-15, it is written, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
We also want to address the concern about dementia or Alzheimer's. While these conditions can be frightening, we must remember that God is sovereign over all things. Psalm 139:16 tells us, "Your eyes saw me when I was formless. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is struggling with cognitive issues. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You have the power to heal her. We ask that You would restore her cognitive abilities, her word finding, and her short-term memory. We pray against dementia and Alzheimer's, trusting that You are sovereign over all things.
We also pray for her family, Lord. Give them patience, faith, and wisdom as they support their loved one. Help them to trust in Your will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
We ask these things in Jesus' name, trusting in His promise that "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14)
Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He hears your prayers and will act according to His will.
