Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for physical healing and for peace has been heard, and the weariness and anxiety you describe are known fully by the Lord. He sees not only the pain in your body but the unspoken worries that are too heavy for words, and He draws near in that very place of weakness.
Scripture gives great comfort that when anxiety steals your words and pain makes it hard to focus, the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for you. He takes every ache, every fear, and every restless thought and carries them directly to the Father with a perfect care that goes beyond what we can express. You are not alone in this moment, and you are not forgotten.
God made you as both physical and spiritual, and He cares for the whole person. We are careful to feed the body each day, but the inner life also needs to be fed, and prayer is one of the ways that inner life is strengthened. There is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, and when the mind is troubled it affects the body as well. That is why the promise is so precious that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. As you keep your eyes on Him, even in weakness, He quiets the storms of worry within.
The peace Jesus gives is not like the peace the world offers. It is a supernatural peace that passes all human understanding and guards the heart and mind. It does not depend on outward circumstances being calm, but on the confidence that God is in control and that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him. It is the peace that comes from knowing you have been made right with God through Jesus Christ. When the war with God is over through forgiveness, a deep inner peace can remain even while the body is still suffering. God has ordained peace for His people because He has thoughts of peace toward you, not of evil.
You asked for healing, and it is right to ask. The prophet declared that the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed, and the Gospel shows that this includes physical healing, for Jesus bore our infirmities and healed those who were brought to Him. He was willing to use His power to meet the physical needs of others. We believe He still heals today. Sometimes that healing is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, and there is only one account where Jesus healed gradually to show us that gradual healing is also His work. In truth every healing process is divine, for God created the body and established the processes by which it recovers, and that is no less His hand at work. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed quickly and others are not, but we can trust His perfect will and His perfect love while we continue to ask Him to strengthen your frame, ease your suffering, and restore your health.
May the Lord quiet your mind and help you to rest deeply and securely. Keep your thoughts fixed on Him, feed your inner life through prayer and His Word, and let His peace guard your heart. He is with you, He is interceding for you, and He will carry you through this season according to His wisdom and mercy. In Jesus name we pray for His healing touch and for that perfect peace to fill you now.
