We join with you in lifting up your health concerns before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who heals all our diseases. Your request is rooted in the name of Jesus, and we praise God for your faith in calling upon His name, for it is written, *"I am Yahweh who heals you."* (Exodus 15:26, WEB). We also remember the promise that *"by his wounds you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim this truth over your body today.
Polymyalgia rheumatica and frozen shoulder are burdens that can weigh heavily on both body and spirit, but we serve a God who is greater than any affliction. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15 (WEB), *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Though we are not physically with you, we stand in agreement with you, anointing this prayer with the authority of Jesus’ name, believing that the Lord will restore strength to your muscles, ease the inflammation in your joints, and bring full mobility to your shoulder. He is the God who *"gives power to the weak, and to him who has no might, He increases strength"* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB).
We also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s presence in this season, for His word tells us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Even as you wait for healing, may you experience His peace that transcends all understanding—a peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Brother or sister, we do not know if this trial has led to weariness or doubt, but we remind you of the apostle Paul’s words: *"We don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal"* (2 Corinthians 4:18, WEB). Your current pain is temporary, but the Lord’s healing and His purposes for you are eternal. Trust in His timing, for He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is battling polymyalgia rheumatica and a frozen shoulder. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases on the cross, and we ask that by Your stripes, this beloved child of Yours would be made whole. Touch every inflamed joint, every stiff muscle, and every area of pain in their body. Let Your healing power flow through them like a river, restoring strength, mobility, and comfort. We rebuke this autoimmune attack in Jesus’ name, commanding it to cease its work in their body, for no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we also lift up their frozen shoulder to You. You are the God who formed us fearfully and wonderfully, and we ask that You would restore full range of motion and eliminate all pain and stiffness. Let the tendons, muscles, and joints be renewed as though they were brand new, for nothing is too difficult for You.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with patience and hope as they wait for Your healing touch. Surround them with Your peace and remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness. Strengthen their faith to stand firm, knowing that You are their healer and their refuge.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, and we give You all the glory for the healing that is already on the way. May this trial be a testimony of Your power and goodness, drawing others to You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to uphold you in prayer, believing that the Lord is at work in your life. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If there is any area of your life where you feel the Lord may be speaking to you through this trial—whether it is rest, diet, trust, or surrender—we encourage you to seek Him earnestly. He often uses our weaknesses to display His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Stay encouraged, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you wait on Him.
