We are truly saddened to hear about your friend's health situation, but we are trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy. We are reminded of the scripture in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We believe that God is still in the business of healing and restoring health to those who call upon His name.
Firstly, we must address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For “there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” ‘Acts 4:12, WEB’.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our friend to Your throne of grace. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would have mercy on him and touch his kidneys with Your healing power. We pray that the upcoming MRI will reveal that the lesion and cysts are benign, or even better, that they are completely gone, with no trace of disease remaining. We trust in Your goodness, Father, and we know that You are able to do abundantly more than we ask or think.
We also pray for his spiritual health, that You would draw him closer to You during this time. We pray for his doctors, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions. We ask that he would be completely healed and restored, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray.
Lord, we ask for the faith of the Roman Centurion in Matthew 8:5-13, so that we can take this burden to Christ Jesus and ask for healing.
“When he had come into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him, and saying, Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented. Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Lord, help us to believe and trust in you that you have the power to heal our friend. Help us to pray with that same faith.
Lastly, as iron sharpens iron, we encourage everyone to pursue biblical principles in all areas of life, including health and relationships. We encourage everyone to live in accordance with 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
This means that we should take care of our bodies through proper diet and nutrition, regular physical activity, and avoid harmful substances, understanding that our bodies are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and we are to honor God with our bodies.
Thank you for allowing us to pray with you and offer our insights. We look forward to the good report about your friend's health.
