We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who is battling colon cancer. Our God is the Great Physician, the One who spoke the universe into existence and holds all life in His hands. We declare with unwavering faith that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is possible, and we stand on the promise that "He himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases" (Matthew 8:17). The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15).
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved brother. We rebuke the cancer that has taken root in his body, commanding it to wither and die in the name of Jesus Christ. Every tumor, every cell that does not belong, we declare it must go, be dissolved, be removed, be cast out by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray for supernatural restoration, that every organ, every tissue, every system in his body would function as You designed it to. Lord, we ask for a flood of Your healing virtue to flow through him, bringing strength where there is weakness, vitality where there is fatigue, and wholeness where there is brokenness.
We also lift up his physical comfort, Father. The pain he is enduring is real, and we ask You to touch him with Your soothing peace. Let Your presence be a balm to his body, easing his discomfort and granting him moments of relief. We pray for his appetite, Lord, stir within him a hunger and thirst not only for food but for the nourishment that comes from You. Strengthen him, Father, so that he may eat and regain the strength his body needs to fight. Provide wisdom to his doctors and caregivers, that they may be guided by Your hand in every decision made for his care.
We stand on Your Word, which declares, "I am the Lord who heals you" (Exodus 15:26). We believe in the power of Your name, Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We reject fear, doubt, and despair, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we speak life over his body in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we also ask that You draw near to him in this trial. Let him feel Your presence in tangible ways, through the love of family, the prayers of the saints, and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there are areas in his life where unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin may be hindering his healing, we ask You to reveal them, Lord, so that he may repent and receive full restoration. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon him, that he may walk in the fullness of Your grace and mercy.
We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We thank You that by His wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for this brother today. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful, and Your promises never fail. We will not waver in our faith, for we know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that this trial will not end in defeat but in a testimony of Your glory and power.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
