We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up Deborah and Miguel in prayer. Father God, we first ask for Your healing touch upon Miguel’s body. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. We pray for strength and endurance for him as he awaits a kidney transplant, and we ask that You would fill him with hope and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we also pray for Deborah’s health and well-being, that You would sustain her in this difficult season.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this marriage to You, for what You have joined together, let no man separate (Matthew 19:6). We rebuke the spirit of division and bitterness that has taken root in Miguel’s heart. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of resentment, anger, and unforgiveness that has kept them from walking in the fullness of Your love. We declare that Miguel’s heart would be softened, and that he would turn away from the path of destruction he is walking. We pray against the influence of the other woman and ask that You would sever any ungodly soul ties and expose the enemy’s schemes (Ephesians 5:11). We rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness in Jesus’ name, and we ask that Miguel would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to repent and turn back to You and to his wife.
Lord, we know that marriage is a covenant before You, and we stand on Your Word that says, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12). We pray that Miguel would remember the vows he made before You and that he would seek reconciliation rather than divorce. We ask that You would fill him with humility and a desire to honor You with his life and marriage. Father, we also pray for Deborah, that You would give her the strength to stand firm in faith, even when it feels impossible. Help her to release her fears and trust in Your promises, knowing that You are her protector and provider.
We pray for Miguel’s salvation, Lord. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love (Hosea 11:4). Break through any pride, shame, or hardness of heart that is keeping him from surrendering to You. Let him experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit in a way that leads to true repentance and transformation. We declare that Miguel will not die in his sin but will come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17). Lord, we also ask that You would reveal to him the power of forgiveness and the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to You.
Father, we pray for Deborah’s heart as well. Help her to forgive Miguel completely, just as You have forgiven her (Colossians 3:13). Give her the courage to release any bitterness or resentment and to walk in love, even when it is not reciprocated. We ask that You would heal her wounds and restore her hope. Lord, we also pray that You would reveal any areas of self-centeredness in both Deborah and Miguel’s lives. Help them to die to themselves and to live for You, putting the needs of one another above their own (Philippians 2:3-4).
We declare that this marriage will be restored, not by human effort, but by Your supernatural power. We speak life and healing over their relationship, and we ask that You would rekindle the love and intimacy that has been lost. Lord, we pray that You would use this trial to draw them closer to You and to each other. Let them become a powerful testimony of Your grace and redemption, a light to others who are struggling in their marriages.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your faithfulness, Lord, and we believe that You are working even now to bring about Your perfect will in this situation. Give Deborah and Miguel the strength to wait on You and to trust in Your timing. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. Amen.
