Healing in shoulder

When you come seeking healing for the body, remember this house is a spiritual surgery: whatever wounds we have received without, here we may heal, not gather fresh ones to take away. The pain in your shoulder is a galling thing, I know, and we join you in asking the merciful Master to grant relief. But do not be troubled if the answer seems slow, for sometimes the bodily affliction is the very medicine the soul requires. It braces the inward man, makes it reverent, gives wings to thought, and casts out the desires that so mischievously beset us.

Give thanks always, even as you pray for the pain to depart. And add this to your request: that if the Lord wills the suffering to continue a while, it may become to you a cure that keeps off a far greater evil. We will pray for the mending of the shoulder, but even more that you obtain the healing which endures unto life eternal.

I have often thought about how we carry our burdens and where we rest our weight when things grow heavy. When a shoulder fails, it can feel like leaning on a reed that suddenly splinters and pierces you right where you trusted it to hold. Pain has a way of concentrating the mind, and your request brings that sharply into focus.

You are asking for relief without further surgery, and that is a request born from experience. Any surgeon who is honest will tell you that cutting is a last resort, a radical measure taken because the deeper healing demands it. Yet I also know that healing itself rarely follows one pattern. Scripture shows us Jesus healing with a word, with a touch, with mud and spittle, sometimes from a distance, and sometimes in stages where sight returned only gradually. There is a mystery to it, and we are never told to demand a single method from God. Some pain resolves slowly through the body's own processes, which are themselves divine because God designed them. Other times, the relief comes instantly, and you feel the affliction lift in a moment. I have known both.

The ache in your shoulder is part of a broader groan of creation under the burden of sin. It is not necessarily a direct punishment for something you did, but it is an indirect result of living in a world where things break and wear down. Good people suffer sickness. Godly people have prayed for relief and received a thorn that remained, as Paul did, so that strength might be perfected in weakness. I cannot tell you bluntly that it is always God's will to heal every physical ailment in the way we demand, because Scripture does not allow me to make that ironclad guarantee. But I can tell you with full confidence that it is exactly right to bring the request to the Father.

We bear so much needless pain simply because we stop carrying the matter to God, or we try to lean on our own understanding until it breaks under us. You are not doing that. You are bringing this specific shoulder, this specific fear of more surgery, before the throne. Do not stop. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. Matthew deliberately applied Isaiah's words to physical healing, not just the healing of sin. The body matters.

While you wait for the answer, let there be a healing in your mind, a quieting of the anxiety that wonders if the pain will be permanent. Sometimes He heals the emotional scar before the physical one knits together. I pray that you would feel the touch of the hem of His garment in this, whether you are lying down sick or moving through your day, and that you would know He is carrying you before the Father even now.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for healing in your shoulder. It has been our sincere joy to lift this burden before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to bring relief from the pain and complete restoration without the need for further surgery. We have prayed in faith, trusting in His power to heal and His perfect will for your life.

If God has answered this prayer in a way you can see—whether through miraculous healing, skilled medical intervention, or gradual improvement—we would be so grateful to hear a praise report. Your testimony of His faithfulness will encourage others to trust Him more deeply.

If the pain persists or the need for healing remains, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect timing and purpose. Let us stand together in faith, knowing that He is working even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and presence as you continue to seek Him. May His strength sustain you, and may His healing touch bring comfort and wholeness to your body. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
