Healing from ungodly projection

Thank you for sharing this painful request and for asking for prayer. Being on the receiving end of false accusations and projection, especially from someone with narcissistic patterns, can leave deep wounds in the mind and heart. It is right to bring that hurt to Jesus and ask for His healing.

Scripture shows that when Jesus came down and began to demonstrate the life of the kingdom of God, His ministry included healing in every dimension. He cleansed the leper, He healed the servant of the centurion from a distance, He lifted Peter's mother in law from her fever, and in the evening multitudes came to Him with sicknesses and with oppression from evil spirits, and He brought healing and deliverance. Matthew points to the prophecy of Isaiah to show that this was not an accident, that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That promise is not limited to the forgiveness of sin alone, but includes the healing of our bodies and our inner lives as well.

I believe strongly that God still heals today and that He is able to heal you. At the same time Scripture keeps us from presuming that we can demand healing on our own terms in every case. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for the removal of what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and the Lord answered with grace and purpose rather than immediate removal. There is much about healing that we do not fully understand, why some experience an instant touch and others experience a slower restoration. The gospels record only one gradual healing in the ministry of Jesus, yet we see throughout Scripture and life that God often heals gradually.

Any true healing process is divine. God created our bodies and minds and built healing processes into them, and whether the healing is felt in a moment or comes over time through renewed thoughts, truth replacing lies, peace replacing anxiety, and the mending of emotional scars, it is still His work. He does a divine healing in the mind and emotions, cleansing the wounds left by words that were projected onto you and restoring you to what is true.

So we pray for you with confidence in His power and with trust in His wisdom. We ask Jesus to be near to you, to deliver you from the weight of darkness and accusation, to wash away every false label that has been placed on you, and to renew your mind in His truth. May He heal the places where you have felt confused, condemned, or devalued, and replace those lies with His word about who you are in Him, loved, forgiven, and made whole through Christ alone.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this one who has been hurt by ungodly projection. You see the pain and the wounds left by those words and actions. We ask for Your healing touch upon mind, heart, and body. Take what has been spoken falsely and replace it with Your truth. Bring deliverance from oppression, bring peace where there has been turmoil, and bring restoration where there has been injury. Work Your healing whether in a moment or day by day, and give wisdom for healthy boundaries and strength to walk in truth and grace. We trust Your goodness and Your will, and we ask for Your restoring power to be evident. Amen.
