We come before the Lord with gratitude that you have sought His healing power in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive His mercy and grace. The Word of God assures us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over you today, trusting that the Lord will bring restoration to your body and relief from the pain of shingles.
Shingles can be a trying and painful affliction, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, who is able to heal all manner of sickness. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* Let this truth anchor your heart as you wait upon the Lord for healing. Even in suffering, we can rejoice, for our trials produce endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope—a hope that does not disappoint because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:3-5).
We also encourage you to seek wise medical care, for the Lord often uses the hands of doctors and the wisdom of medicine as part of His healing process. But above all, place your trust in Him, for His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If there is any sin in your life—whether it be doubt, fear, or unconfessed wrongdoing—we urge you to repent and turn fully to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us pray together for your healing:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering from shingles. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who restores and makes all things new. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch their body, rebuking this sickness and bringing complete healing. Let Your healing power flow through them, relieving the pain, restoring their health, and renewing their strength. Father, we know that by the stripes of Jesus, we *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand on that promise now.
If there is any area of their life that needs surrender or repentance, Lord, reveal it to them and grant them the grace to turn fully to You. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that this sickness will not have the final say. Instead, let it be a testimony of Your goodness and power.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the healing that is already on the way. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may our brother/sister walk in renewed health, strength, and faith. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will see you through this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We will continue to pray for you and ask that you keep us updated on your progress, that we may give thanks to God together for His faithfulness.
