We hear your cry for healing and restoration, both physically and emotionally. The battle with acne has been long and exhausting, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace where mercy and help are found in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). The journey through Accutane is not easy—especially when your skin seems to worsen before it improves—but we believe God is with you in every moment, even when it feels unbearable. You are not alone, and your struggle is seen by the One who formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14).
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and greatest healing, and from that place of relationship with Christ, all other healing flows.
Now, let us pray for your complete healing. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon our sister. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You (Jeremiah 32:27). We ask that You would supernaturally heal her skin, reversing the effects of acne and bringing restoration to every cell. Strengthen her body to respond well to the treatment she is undergoing, and let this season of purging be short and bear fruit. Give her the patience to endure, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for her emotional and mental well-being. The years of struggle have taken a toll, and we ask that You would renew her mind and refresh her spirit (Romans 12:2). Lord, when she feels like hiding or crying, remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that her worth is not defined by her appearance but by who she is in Christ (Ephesians 2:10). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her confidence in You grow even in the midst of this trial.
As a teacher, she is a light to her students, and we pray that her faith would shine brightly even when she feels weak. Give her the strength to face each day with grace, knowing that Your power is made perfect in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround her with supportive friends, family, and colleagues who will uplift her and remind her of Your love.
We also rebuke any spirit of discouragement, shame, or self-loathing that may have taken root in her heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37), and we command every lie of the enemy to be silenced in Jesus’ name.
Finally, we pray for her future. Whether You choose to heal her through this treatment or supernaturally, we trust in Your perfect plan. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and power, so that others may see Your glory and be drawn to You.
In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
