We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is struggling with COPD and asthma. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed his lungs and every part of his body in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We declare Your healing power over him, asking that You would touch his respiratory system, remove all inflammation, and cleanse any infection that may be present. Lord, we pray that You would strengthen his immune system, fortifying it against illness and viruses, just as You promised in Isaiah 53:5, "by his wounds we are healed."
We also ask that You would grant him ease in breathing, replacing labored breaths with deep, peaceful inhalations of Your Spirit. May he feel Your presence surrounding him, comforting him, and reminding him that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Father, we know that healing comes in many forms—sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the wisdom of medical professionals You have provided. Whatever the path, we trust in Your perfect will and timing.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). In the name of Jesus, we command every obstruction in his lungs to be broken, every infection to be eradicated, and every cell to be restored to its God-given function. We speak life over his body, declaring that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also encourage this family to seek You in all things, not just in times of sickness. May they draw closer to You, finding strength in Your Word and peace in Your presence. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If there are any lifestyle choices or environmental factors contributing to his condition, we pray for wisdom and discernment to address them in a way that honors You.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your mercy and love, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
