We lift up this earnest plea for healing with hearts full of faith and compassion. Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of this precious son who struggles with COPD and asthma. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are the Great Physician who can restore health and bring relief from suffering.
Father, we ask You to touch this young man’s lungs and respiratory system with Your healing power. Remove every trace of inflammation, cleanse any infection, and strengthen his immune system to resist illness and viruses. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into his body, Lord, that he may inhale Your peace and exhale every burden. We declare in the name of Jesus that his breathing shall be easy, his strength renewed, and his body restored to full health.
We also recognize that healing is not only physical but spiritual. If there are areas in his life where sin or disobedience may be hindering his health, we pray for conviction and repentance. James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Let him walk in holiness and alignment with Your will, for Your glory.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress him, for Your Word says in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We command every attack of sickness to cease in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let Your healing virtue flow through his body like a river, washing away every trace of disease.
Father, we also pray for wisdom for his caregivers and medical professionals. Guide their hands and minds as they seek to provide the best care. Give this family patience, perseverance, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Remind them daily that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the assurance that You are working even now. May this son experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will, knowing that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
