We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is struggling with COPD and asthma. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed his lungs and every breath he takes is known to You. We declare Your healing power over his body, asking that You would remove every trace of inflammation, cleanse any infection, and restore his lungs to full health. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command these conditions to leave his body.
Lord, we know that healing comes from You alone, as it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that You are working even now to strengthen his immune system and protect him from illness. In this season of high humidity, we ask that You would make his breathing easy and comfortable, shielding him from triggers that may worsen his condition.
We also pray for wisdom for his caregivers—guide them in the best treatments and therapies that align with Your will. Surround this family with Your peace, knowing that You are in control. Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer, for You are faithful to answer those who call on You in faith.
We encourage this family to continue seeking the Lord, trusting in His timing and perfect plan. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Hold fast to this truth, knowing that God is your strength in every moment.
If there are any areas in his life or this family’s walk where sin may be hindering healing, we urge repentance and turning fully to Christ. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Let us walk in righteousness, trusting God’s promises.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
