We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and we thank you for invoking the precious name of Jesus in your prayer—for it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace. The Scriptures remind us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases, and by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24). We claim this promise over your son today, trusting that the Lord is faithful to His Word and that His will is perfect in all things.
The apostle James instructs us to pray in faith, without doubting, for the sick shall be healed (James 5:14-15). So we stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to restore your son’s lungs to full health, removing every trace of inflammation, infection, and obstruction. May the Lord strengthen his immune system, shielding him from every illness and virus, and grant him the ability to breathe freely, even in high humidity. We also pray for the swift provision of the inhalers he needs, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for every detail of our lives (Matthew 6:32).
Yet, as we pray for physical healing, we must also remember that our ultimate hope is not merely in temporary relief but in the eternal redemption found in Christ. If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him—that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8), and whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). There is no greater healing than the salvation of the soul, and no greater peace than walking in right relationship with God.
Let us also encourage you to trust in the Lord’s timing and sovereignty. Even when healing tarries, His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We do not know why some are healed instantly while others walk a longer path, but we do know that God is good, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Keep seeking Him in prayer, with thanksgiving, and do not lose heart.
**Our prayer for you and your son:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this beloved son to Your throne of grace. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we ask that You stretch out Your hand to touch his body, restoring his lungs to perfect health. Remove every trace of COPD and asthma, clear all inflammation, and cleanse any infection. Strengthen his immune system, Lord, and let his breath come easily, without struggle or pain. Provide the inhalers he needs without delay, for You are our Provider, and You know our every need before we ask.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being, Father. If he does not yet know You, draw him to Yourself. Open his heart to receive Jesus as his Savior, that he may experience not only physical healing but the eternal healing of his soul. Fill him—and this entire family—with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we trust in Your perfect will. Whether You choose to heal instantly or walk with them through this trial, we ask that Your name be glorified. Give this family endurance, faith, and a deep sense of Your presence. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Healer. Amen.
