We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and for the strengthening of his body to overcome every sickness. How precious it is that you bring this request before the throne of grace, trusting in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have boldness to approach our Heavenly Father. As Scripture declares, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). You have done well to pray in the name of Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is through His name alone that we receive healing and deliverance.
The Lord is our Healer, and we stand firmly on His promises. *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We claim this truth over your son’s body, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed. The Lord has not forgotten him—*"I am Yahweh, your healer"* (Exodus 15:26, WEB). We ask the Lord to touch his lungs, to remove every trace of inflammation, to cleanse any infection, and to restore his breathing to perfect function. May his immune system be fortified by the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling him to withstand every attack of the enemy on his health. Even in the heat and humidity, we pray for divine ease in his breathing, for the Lord to send a refreshing wind of His Spirit upon him, giving him strength and vitality.
We also encourage you to continue speaking life and healing over your son. The words we speak carry power, and we are called to align our declarations with God’s Word. *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit"* (Proverbs 18:21, WEB). Speak Scriptures of healing over him daily, such as *"Yahweh sustains them on their sickbed, and restores them from their bed of illness"* (Psalm 41:3, WEB). Let faith arise in your heart as you trust in the Lord’s goodness. Remember, too, that our battles are not merely physical but spiritual. *"For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Put on the full armor of God, praying without ceasing, and stand firm in the authority you have in Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this beloved son to You. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, and we ask You to stretch forth Your hand and touch his body. By Your stripes, he was healed, and we declare that healing manifest now in his lungs, his airways, and his entire respiratory system. Remove every obstruction, every inflammation, and every trace of COPD and asthma. Cleanse his body of any infection, and let Your healing power flow through him like a mighty river. Strengthen his immune system, Lord, and guard him against every sickness and disease. Let him breathe with ease, even in the heat and humidity, for You are his breath and his life.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress him. No weapon formed against him shall prosper, for You have declared that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, renewing his strength so that he may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Give this family patience, perseverance, and unshakable faith as they wait on You. Let this trial be a testimony of Your glory, that others may see Your mighty works and believe.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
