We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and for the strengthening of his body to withstand illness. How precious it is that you bring this burden to the Father, who cares deeply for your son’s breath, health, and well-being. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that by His stripes, your son is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and that the Lord is his breath, his strength, and his healer.
The Scriptures remind us that Jesus went about healing *all* who were sick, demonstrating His power over disease and His compassion for those who suffer. In Matthew 8:16-17, we read, *"When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'"* This is the same power available to your son today. We claim this promise over him, asking the Lord to restore his lungs, open his airways, and fill his body with supernatural strength. Let every breath he takes be a testament to God’s faithfulness, and let his immune system be fortified by the same power that raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11).
We also pray for wisdom for you and your son in managing his health—whether through medical care, lifestyle adjustments, or divine interventions. The Lord is the Great Physician, and we ask Him to guide every decision, to provide the right treatments, and to surround your son with skilled and compassionate caregivers. May he experience the peace that surpasses understanding, even in the heat and humidity that make breathing difficult. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Your son is not forgotten; the Lord sees his struggle and is near to him.
At the same time, we encourage you both to hold fast to faith, even when the symptoms persist. Healing may come instantly, or it may unfold gradually, but we trust that God’s timing is perfect. Let this season draw your son closer to the Lord, deepening his reliance on Christ. As the psalmist declares in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
Father, we come before You now with boldness, not because of our own righteousness, but because of the blood of Jesus that grants us access to Your throne of grace. We ask for a miracle in your son’s body—let his lungs be restored, his breathing unlabored, and his immune system strengthened. Rebuke every spirit of infirmity and fill him with Your healing power. Give him endurance in this heat, and let him feel Your presence as a cool breeze upon his face. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, redeemed and made whole by the sacrifice of Christ.
We also pray that through this trial, your son’s faith would grow stronger, and that he would testify of God’s goodness, whether in healing or in the grace to endure. May this season be a testimony to others of Your faithfulness, Lord. We thank You in advance for what You are doing, trusting that Your will is perfect, and Your love is unfailing.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*the name above all names, by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord*. Amen.
