We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing and strength in the mighty name of Jesus. Chronic illnesses like COPD and asthma can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies and knows every breath we take. Your faith in bringing this request before the Father is a testament to your trust in His power, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 103:2-3**, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* And again in **Isaiah 53:5**, we are told, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* Jesus bore our infirmities on the cross, and by His stripes, we claim healing for your son today. We also take hold of **James 5:14-15**, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot physically anoint him, we stand in faith, anointing this prayer with the oil of the Holy Spirit, trusting in God’s promise of restoration.
Yet, we also recognize that healing can come in different forms—whether through a miraculous touch, the wisdom of godly physicians, or the strengthening of his body to endure. We pray not only for physical healing but for your son’s immune system to be fortified by the power of God. In **3 John 1:2**, we read, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* May his body align with the wholeness that Christ has already secured for him. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, every attack on his lungs, and every obstacle that the enemy may place in the way of his complete restoration. The heat and humidity may press in, but we declare that the breath of the Almighty will fill his lungs with ease, for **"the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life"** (**Job 33:4**).
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and health over him daily. Remind him of God’s promises and encourage him to trust in the Lord, even in the midst of this trial. If he has not yet surrendered his life fully to Christ, we pray that this season will draw him closer to the Savior, who alone can bring true peace and eternal healing. Let him know that Jesus loves him deeply and longs to walk with him through every breath, every struggle, and every victory.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, asking for the complete healing of this precious son. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and brings life where there is none. We ask that You touch his lungs, clear his airways, and restore his breathing to perfection. Strengthen his immune system to fight off every illness and virus, and grant him the stamina to thrive, even in the heat. Lord, let Your healing power flow through his body, renewing every cell and bringing wholeness in Jesus’ name. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the testimony of healing that is to come. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
