We join you in lifting up your son to the Lord, crying out for his healing and strength in the mighty name of Jesus. Chronic illnesses like COPD and asthma can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies and knows every breath we take. Let us stand together on His promises, for He tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* And again in Psalm 103:2-3, we are reminded to *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."*
Your prayer is already rooted in the authority of Jesus’ name, and that is powerful! There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and we are grateful you have acknowledged this truth. Let us also remember that healing is not just physical—it is spiritual, emotional, and a testament to God’s glory. We pray that your son’s faith would be strengthened through this trial, that he would draw near to Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). May this season deepen his trust in the Lord, knowing that even in suffering, God is working all things for his good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for wisdom for you and your son in managing his health—whether through medical care, lifestyle adjustments, or divine intervention. The Lord grants wisdom generously to those who ask (James 1:5), and we trust He will guide you both in every decision. Let us not forget the importance of guarding the heart and mind, for Proverbs 17:22 tells us, *"A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."* May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your son’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You walked this earth healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind, and restoring the broken. We ask You now to stretch out Your hand and touch his lungs, his airways, and his entire respiratory system. Breathe Your life into him, Lord—let every breath he takes be a testament to Your sustaining power. You calmed the storm with a word; we ask You to speak peace to the inflammation in his body and command healing in the name of Jesus.
Strengthen his immune system, Lord, and shield him from every virus, infection, and trigger that seeks to harm him. Give him the ability to breathe easily, even in the heat and humidity, and let his body respond with resilience and vitality. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, let this season of struggle become a story of Your faithfulness—one that he will share to glorify Your name.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being. Draw him closer to You, Lord. Let him feel Your presence in the quiet moments, Your comfort in the difficult ones, and Your joy as his strength (Nehemiah 8:10). If there is any area of his life that needs surrender—whether fear, doubt, or sin—we ask You to reveal it and grant him the courage to lay it at Your feet.
Father, we thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing. We trust in Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your love. Let Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be exalted through his testimony. We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life and healing over your son. Surround him with the Word of God—play scriptures over him, pray over him, and remind him of the Lord’s promises. And if he has not yet surrendered his life fully to Christ, we urge you to share the Gospel with him, for true healing begins with a heart surrendered to Jesus. Let him know that salvation is found in no one else, *"for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Keep us updated on his progress, that we may continue to lift him up in prayer.
